  • The SKR Mini E3 V3.0 adopts STMicroelectronics' latest G0 series main control chip STM32G0B1RET6 or STM32G0B0RET6; Adding controllable cooling fans and upgrading drive heat sink effectively reduces the temperature during 3d printing work
  • The BTT Pi is equipped with quad core 64 bit ARM Cortex-A53 1.5GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 memory chip, with powerful performance. Reserve SPI port, ADXL345 port, USB To CAN module(need to purchase U2C module) to enhance DIY performance
  • The TFT35 SPI LCD display adopts SPI, and the touch screen adopts I2C communication mode; It can be connected to the motherboard through FPC cable, making the operation simple and convenient; Adopting XH2.54 terminal design, it can communicate with a single board through terminals
  • Thr SFS V2.0 detects extrusion errors caused by filament runout, nozzle clogging, filament tying, and extruder trouble. It has two signal outputs and indicator lights to distinguish between clogging or filament runout. Small and lightweight, it will not add too much pressure to the printer's extrusion head

Great board but s1 to s4 uses larger connectors and you will need to double over the wire. If you don’t the possibility of a weak connection will happen. You will have weak continuity and appear to have a failed motor or driver. These are the only bothersome connections. Board is great otherwise. There should be an adapter for the larger connectors to mate with smaller wires for nema 17. Used on my Voron build. Canbus works but usb appears more stable. Onboard power for pi is not enough if you run a large touch screen and pc HD web cam. I have 100 leds on the frame running on the same port and no issue. Don’t forget art to pi means no canbus. Wish the called this out in bigger writing. Also wish they had a generic 48v config vs 24v.BTT should clearly call out the sense resistor in the manual and not just the generic config. This board has lots of option just the 5v is not enough for a hungry pi.

The board works great! Very powerful board, great for up to 48V stepper motor control. Integrated stepper motor controllers. The BTT documentation is just downright awful. There doesn’t appear to be much in support from the manufacturer. The manual hasn’t been updated in over a year. I had to supplement my documentation with documentation from some of BTT’s other boards to piece together enough information to configure the board. Because the lack of documentation, there aren’t many people running these boards. As a result, community support is hit or miss. Don’t buy this unless you can be patient as configuration will take quite a while. Also don’t buy unless you’re confident enough with your technical proficiency to dive deep into Linux configuration and killer configuration without much support.

Why should you buy this board? Yeah, this board is awesome. It has everything you could possibly want and more. You can run 8 different high amp steppers with this. When comparing it to the other boards, it is also the budget option. This has built in drivers. The high speed drivers for other boards would cost you more than just the Kraken! The real reason you should buy this board though is the black duck! If you are at all familiar with Bigtreetech products then you are likely obsessed with ducks. This dosnt have the typical yellow duck, it has a special black duck! The Kraken did work perfect in my custom printer build. Think I might buy another when I start a CNC build. The drivers provide enough power to run 4 large nema 23 steppers too!

You have to make new connectors for normal wireing it should have had a adapter to normal wireing

They claim that this will run 60V and high amperage. It will not.I purchased a couple of these earlier this year and finally got around to using them. I intended to use them for a 6 axis robot, with NEMA 34s, which require the higher amperage. I hooked everything up according to the guide. The lower amperage NEMA23s I used on the upper arm ran just fine. The NEMA 34s made a pop, and then the driver section of the board died. That's over 100 bucks down the drain.Note that these same motors work just fine with real stepper drivers. If you intend to use this board for higher amperage for 3D printers/ CNC/ robotics applications, look elsewhere. It sounds too good to be true because it is.

The board is great. Fans are DOA or stuck on, or stuck off. Depends on how your mosfet failed. This is a chronic problem on these boards. I did custom firmware just to make sure it wasn't that; nope. There is no way to control the fan port, even when pulling pin PA6 and PA7 which are the two fan pins. I tried contacting big tree tech, no reply. Going to my credit card next.
