I recently repurchased the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro headphones, and I'm reminded once again why they are such a revered choice in the audio world. Having owned them before, I knew exactly what I was getting into – outstanding quality and performance. The sound quality of these headphones is phenomenal. The balance between the lows, mids, and highs is expertly achieved, providing a clear, crisp, and immersive listening experience. Whether for professional studio work or personal enjoyment, the DT770 Pro delivers consistently exceptional audio.Comfort is another area where these headphones excel. The padding on the ear cups and the headband is plush and allows for extended periods of use without any discomfort. This is a crucial feature for professionals who spend hours mixing and editing. The build quality is as solid as it gets. The DT770 Pro is robust and durable, withstanding the test of time and frequent use. The materials used are top-notch, ensuring that these headphones don't just perform well but also last long. One of the things I appreciate the most is the closed-back design which offers excellent sound isolation. It's perfect for studio environments where external noise can be a distraction. Also, the sound leakage is minimal, so I can listen at higher volumes without bothering those around me.

These have been around pro studios for years. And there are "better" phones, newer designs, but I like the mid-range of these units better than some of the newer designs. If you're looking for a lot of sss-boom these might disappoint but the mid-range clarity and solid imaging still work in the studio.

These do just what I wanted them to do, sound great with a neutral tone. I prefer to hear the music as the artist made it, not altered by the system being used to hear it. Got these to supplement a pair of Sennheiser open back ones that aren't the same Ohms but that let too much sound escape while using. Not only due these sound great they're also very comfortable to wear for the long haul. All in all, an excellent choice for headphones in this price range.

I bought the 80 ohm version. I wanted to get a mix of sound quality and usability.A few things:1. The need to power them with a headphone amp is only 100% true for clean signals. If you have a pedal or effects chain, it will provide enough to power to make these headphones sound great. You can hear the sound on clean, it's just low and not very exciting.2. The headphone amp is fantastic for a reason that a lot of people don't talk about: you can turn the gain and volume down significantly on the source to get a super "clean" signal into the headphone amp and THEN amplify that signal into the headphones. This makes the entire signal so much higher quality.3. They are very comfortable, I played for hours with "hot ears" or neck pain4. The frequency response is fantastic. From the lowest lows to the highest highs, it sounds great all way up and down the spectrum.5. I have yet to hear any distortion at all from these, even at very high volumes. Frankly with the headphone amp it goes so much higher than I would every need it.Definitely recommended!Update 2 months later:Still very strong recommendation. I am slowly becoming more and more of an audiophile (disclaimer) but I'm still pretty grounded. The main difference between a cheap set of headphones and a higher quality ones is in the overall clarity and "exposition" of the frequencies. Simply put, you hear more of the music, more details, more bass, more mids, more trebles. My other cheaper headphones sound like they have a soft layer over them, muting some of the sound/detail.Since I got the 80 ohm version, I definitely recommended getting a headphone amp for them. I got the cheapest one off amazon but it still makes a noticeable difference. To put it in subject numerical terms, with my old headphones I could hear about 65% of the music, with the Beyers without an amp I'm at about 75% of the music, with an amp I'm closer to 95% to 100% of the music ( I would probably need to hear it live in studio to see if I'm truly hearing 100% of the music so take that with a grain of salt). It's still the same songs and everything you can just hear "more". Also, going through my laptop without the amp, they just don't get loud enough at full volume, and I'm not one of those "blow out my eardrums" types of people, I just want to hear it all.

They are extremely comfortable and easy to use for long hours. The audio quality from gaming to music and movies is great. The only complaint I have is from the slight humming/mechanical sound when you are playing nothing through them.

I have noticed a lot of professional videos with people wearing this set of headphones. I see why! This is not the most expensive or the cheapest but so far, the best quality of any headphones I have ever used. Pick a major name brand and I have used them at some point in my life for either personal or professional use. These are the best so far for quality of reproduced sound and comfort of use. I wear headphones to not disturb anyone else in the house and have to say after an hour of use sweat will form between the ears and headphones making it uncomfortable. These are soft, moisture reducing by allowing the heat to dissipate from your head without loading up causing sweat. I have used these for 10 hours straight gaming and have to say they are the most comfortable I have ever worn. They are a little stiff to adjust but once that is done you are done with it and likely won't have to ever adjust them again due to that same stiffness. I hear elements of game sound I never noticed before and am very happy to hear those little filler bits that were wasted on other headphones. The closed design makes it so what I am listening to does not bother anyone else even at high volumes. These are well worth the price and will have to say all the money I have wasted on other headphones would have been better spent on these because it looks like these will last a decade compare to a little less than a year for cheaper brand. Would like to say these will be the last headphones I will ever buy.
