This BEMIS elongated closed front toilet seat with cover is an injection moulded solid plastic toilet seat that features four moulded-in bumpers. This seat features slow-close technology with the Whisper Close hinge that allows the lid to close slowly and quietly with no slamming or pinched fingers. The Easy Clean & Change hinges with non-corrosive bolts and wing nuts easily removes seat for easy cleaning and replacement . This seat complies with IAPMO/ANSI Z124. 5-2013 Plastic Toilet Seats as a class Residential. Good seat but the image in the ad looked darker than what I got. I used it regardless as the toilet brand I have is non existent now. Solid seat, comfy, no real issues.

Toilet seat cover seems thin not as firm as my previous seat . When I put my foot on seat to put a sock on ,it goes down like it’s flexing never had that issue before definitely not heavy duty seat. Seat was very easy to install and had a nice mounting system

We had one slow-closer seat and two regular-old seats in our house. I tended to forget and treat the old ones like the slow closer, which made annoying bangs! So I decided to replace the old seats with new Bemis slow closers. We had Bemis before and they were fine, but old enough to look a bit stained and rusty. Installation was easy — it is simpler and more sturdy than the old Bemis. I like the heavier design that uses wood for the seat, rather than all plastic. The product that arrived is labeled as Mayfair, a sub-brand of Bemis. No problems after several months of use.

I needed to replace the toilet lids that came with a new construction home. Ones that won’t crack the bowl if you don’t gently lower the lid!!! These were easy to install, fit properly and do not slam down!!!Good price, great product

This is extremely slow, but you can forcefully push it down quicker so you don't have to wait for it. I had a Bemis seat that I replaced with this newer seat, I used the same old hardware that was already connected because it was the same for both seats. It was also a plastic seat that you had to twist the back cover to unlock and then lift it off. Compared to my old seat, this new one is sturdier. I do like this one much better! I love plastic seats because you can clean them with anything and not have paint rub off or stain the paint. I sit on the lid to put my socks on and the lid does not feel like I'm going to fall through it. To install this, you put the plastic nut and bolt in FIRST. There are small pieces of plastic toward the top of the bolt that make it an extremely tight fit. Give the bolt a wack until it is flush and then screw on the nut from the bottom. To make sure the nut/bolt is tight, you can get a screw driver and hold the bolt still while tightening the nut OR hold the nut still and use the screwdriver to tighten the bolt from the top turning clockwise (right). After the nut and bolt is connected and TIGHT, push the seat on top of the nut (with the cover open) It will snap into place. Then close the cover. Done.If installed correctly, the seat does not move at all. If yours does, tighten the nut and bolt better.I have seen people do this backwards, break the seat and then come and post pictures of the mess they created because they installed it WRONG and then gave 1 star for their stupidity... Yeah, that picture is in the listing too if you want to scroll through for a laugh....Once this is published, I will add pics of what the seat looks like installed while the lid is up and the seat is down. For some reason, that angle was missed in the listing. I love easy to remove and clean plastic seats! They just lift off so you can clean any messes from bad sprayers.

Would not put a plastic seat in a powder room that is used often, this is just too flimsy. Fine for a guest room powder room though. Easy assembly, and it’s slow closing as advertised. Also easy to remove for cleaning. If it’s for an often used commode, highly recommend the extra couple bucks for the wood one. This is adjustable depending on where you place and secure screws. Fits American Standard flawlessly unlike other brands. Use the measurements on listing to determine if it’ll work for you.
