Product Description

Beginner Bourbon Recipe

Of course, the "best" way to make bourbon or whiskey is with 100% grain and corn. Unfortunately, that's no small feat, especially when you are new and don't have lots of equipment. There is nothing particularly tricky or complicated about it. But there is a learning curve for a new distiller. This recipe is built to make that first step into all-grain distilling welcoming and foolproof. You can make this and you don't need all sorts of fancy stuff to do it.

If you are new to all-grain brewing for distilled spirits this recipe is the perfect way to jump in. Even if you completely screw up the mash you will still get a solid result . . . . and honestly you won't. It's pretty easy so get started with this recipe.

Scotch Recipe Kit

Scotch Whiskey Recipe

What makes Scotch Whisky Unique? American whiskey, particularly Bourbon, typically uses a grain bill that includes at least 51% corn, which imparts a sweeter flavor profile, along with smaller percentages of barley, rye, or wheat. In contrast, Scotch whisky is predominantly made from malted barley, and while some blends may include other grains, malted barley is the dominant ingredient, contributing to its distinctive earthy, smokey, or peaty flavors. Scotch may also feature peated malt for a smokier character depending on the region.

Tennessee Whiskey Recipe

What is the Lincoln County Process? What is the Lincoln County Process? The Lincoln County Process is a method used in whiskey production, particularly for Tennessee whiskey, where the spirit is filtered through charcoal before aging, a step known as the "charcoal mellowing" process. This filtration smooths the whiskey by removing impurities and imparting a mellower flavor profile. The benefits include a cleaner, smoother taste with a distinct character, often described as softer and more refined than standard bourbon or whiskey.

4 Grain Whiskey Recipe Kit

Barley Rye Wheat Whiskey Recipe

The spiciness of the rye plays off the sweetness of the corn, the mellowness of the barley and the cereal texture of the wheat – each grain highlighted by those with which it shares the mash bill. This recipe is made from the freshest cereal grains so you can produce the finest Wheat Whiskey.

Made decent 120 proof bourbon but had to wing it cause the instructions inside the box were terrible for a beginner first time. I had to look up how to make bourbon to get a better explanation on how to use the ingredients.

it doesn’t tell you if your amylase is alpha or beta. This is inportant futher more it tells you to add the yeast as dry … DO NOT DO THIS if you look up the actual instruction for included yeast it says it’s 20 min hydration time before adding … the yeast they sent is not DADY yeast. It’s actually for wine and beer. Seems like you took beer instructions. Broke it down and tried to convert it to mash… the grains are good. Idea is there. But NOT FOR BEGINNERS … there is no glucoamylase … it all becomes very murky and I had to go buy my own alpha. Luckily I have DADY yeast as the at I’ve made some before … I do NOT recommend this to ANY BEGINNER and any advanced distiller would toss there instructions on the trash. Again DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WILL LEAD YOU ASTRAY

It has everything you need and the instructions are good. I messed up by not clearing out the mash, as well as running too hot. I was able to filter it out a bit and then age it. It still ended up tasting pretty good even with my cheap still.
