Good still. Works well. There is a learning curve and it will take some practice.. need to read instructions carefully

I've made several runs with this still and have managed to get a good high proof product. 160 or so depending on the alcohol content of the starting mash. Tape your connections with Teflon tape and use the silicone washers provided and you shouldn't have any problems with leakage. Five gallons of mash has yielded me around 4 quarts of drinkable liquor with 3 or so quarts of heads and tails to throw in the next run. You could probably keep more if you wanted but I generally don't keep anything under 80 proof. For $100, you can't beat this thing.

You can make anything that a $1000 distillation kit can make. So it’s not pretty, and Facebook snobs gonna hate. It distills water and other liquids just like the hand crafted copper stills that the beard “product” using, skinny jeans wearing semi-men are using until the next trend comes along for them to jump onto. Then you can buy their used once or twice still for pennies on the dollar.

I had to use it a couple of times to get it right but once I did I was amazed at how well it worked. I am using it for essential oils and it really works good. It’s a little big, but other that I love it.

Thumper not large enough. Attaching lines seals fall out or don’t seal without teflon tape. Directions very vague!

Well, at this point, I’m pleased it appears to be decent quality and assembly. Once we use it, we’ll see how well things are sealed up.

The set comes with a pretty decent still pot with decent latches. Unfortunately, that's that only positives. The bad: 1) The thermometer threads rusted after the second use. I first noticed by the brown flakes in my distillate (see picture). I replaced it with a better thermometer that was stainless steel. 2) the thumper keg is way too small to be even slightly effective and the seal that's provided is not attached to the lid, making the thumper keg pretty useless. 3) the copper line (worm) in the condenser is almost impossible to clean. If you know anything about distilling, you know how important it is to clean the inside of all your copper. I used a flexible tube cleaning brush with a citric acid/peroxide solution and the copper tube still is not completely clean. This unfortunately taints you final product. It is a nice still pot though.
