Works great, havent seen a bear since we bought it. Which is also disappointing because i really wanted to try it on a bear because my wife doesnt like me using it on her.

Extremely loud air horn. It is quite small: 3" can + 1.5" horn, but that doesn't stop it from making a BIG noise. Seriously. I have a sound meter and at a distance of about 9" it was reading 130db. I got this for hiking/camping to scare off any unwanted encounters. Very happy with the size and the noise level.I have identical looking air horns from other manufacturers and I honestly cannot tell the difference other than for the label. They're all exactly same dimensions and exactly same loudness. I don't know if they all come from the same manufacturer, just via different marketing channels or what, but regardless, you won't be disappointed with any of them.

I got this to keep in my boat, but I had to give it a test blast, of course. Fortunately I decided to try it outside. Definitely don't point it towards yourself when using it, as it instructs. I pointed it away from me and gave it a half-second blast and it still made my hearing on that side go muffled for a couple minutes.I don't know how many blasts it has in it, but I trust that it will be ready to go if I ever need it.

Is it loud?? VERY. It is VERY loud! DO NOT test indoors people! Lesson learned! HA!Does it work against bears? No clue, but I think it would work great. Hopefully I never have to find out, but if it was enough to scare my neighbors, I am sure it will scare away Yogi bear just fine. Fits in my cargo pocket for hiking, and that exactly what I needed.

I got this to scare off bears if they come too close, we live in the mountains and bears come around, it will also be great for boating. Looks like a solid design, you have to press the button pretty hard so I don't think it's likely to go off in your bag or whatever. It's too bad they cant sell you a replacement cartridges that snaps onto the horn when the old one is spent.

I don't see how I could be doing anything wrong there's just a button to push on the top, but it doesn't work. The button is loose and just sits there. There is no pressure.
