Easy Saw Blade Change
1. Rotating the blade valve to 90°
2. Insert the saw blade (saw tooth outward)
3. Release the blade valve to the original position
NOTE:
The blade needs to be inserted deep enough to lock, If the blade valveisnot placed in the original position, the saw blade will fall off when operating.

this jig saw was only used a few times for my house hold things. after only using a couple of times each year. it stopped working. it worked great. but it stopped . the jig saw i had before was a skill and it lasted me for 30 years. their customer service doesn't have a phone number. and you can only buy a 6 month extended warranty? that should be a huge red flag. i noticed they are out of stock. Don't buy this product. i wouldn't buy any of these avid products. from the results I've had. it worked great at first, if you want something that will last this is not the tool to buy.

Would suggest tossing the blade. I was cutting plywood and things got a little hot. The blade bends too easily. It took care of the problem but I will be ordering some better quality blades for it.

Powerful, smooth operating, easy to change saw blades, good control on speed from slow to fast - no negatives. Over the last two months, have used to it modify a bathroom sink cabinet, for plumbing access. Added pet door in metal outside door, Added new attic access cover and used it to cut several 2 x 4's rather then pull out my circular Saw. One plus that you might not think of is that the box that it comes in is large enough to store it back in.
