Jigsaw was made out of plastic. Would not even cut through plywood. Blade is difficult to change.

I love that this saw uses easy to find Makita 18V batteries. However, I use the yellow brand cordless tools, so I cannot verify. I'll for sure be buying some of the blue to try though. It's good to have diversity in the tool box. I love that this saw came with everything needed to get working. Battery, charger, and blades. The blades are an easy install without tools and the ones that were included feel pretty good. The power seems to be as good as my corded model and cuts curves in 3/4 plywood without bogging down. I haven't tried any other materials yet, but don't anticipate a problem.The only thing that I found odd was a "rattle" when I first pulled it out of the box. Everything worked well and I didn't want to return it so I took it apart. It turned out to be the metal piece that holds the blade. It was secure and didn't seem broken but was a little low on grease. I figured a little more might cushion the movement so I added a bit before re-assembly. It worked great and I don't have any issues or regrets. Nice saw for the money.

This third-party cordless jigsaw is a well-priced option that works seamlessly with Makita 18V batteries and can be purchased almost anywhere that sells power tools. The jigsaw blades are very easy to install and remove without tools. There are a handful of standard-size blades and a hex driver for adjusting the tool.This jigsaw offers many useful features, including an adjustable base for bevel cuts up to 45 degrees and 3-position orbital settings, making it versatile for a variety of materials like wood, plastic, and plywood. The tool-free blade change feature is also convenient, making blade swaps quick and hassle-free.The brushless motor has plenty of power and performs comparably to my Milwaukee jigsaw, delivering a clean cut and smooth operation. Additionally, the LED light helps keep the cutting line visible, especially in low-light conditions. This tool has solid performance and thoughtful design features for a reasonably priced cordless jigsaw, making it a practical choice for DIY and small projects. The jigsaw is my least preferred tool for cutting wood but is indispensable when needed. This tool feels great and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality, power, and responsiveness.
