I LOVE this putty! As an artist, I find so many uses for it in the shop. I have used it to create a figurine's face this week, I used it to make a bigger, and easier to find, off and on button on my computer. I have used it to bond disparate pieces of collage art to each other. I used it to replace the broken part of my radio that hangs it on my waist band. The uses of this strong material are Endless! My containers have lasted for about 7-8 years before drying out. (I went on an art hiatus, hence the decreased usage and drying out).I don't need much for most creations, this is well worth the bucks.

I used this clay for the first time for a DIY octopus lamp. I have never sculpted before, so I don't really know how it compares to other clays but I would say that it was fairly easy to use and it was super convenient that it air dries. The clay is very soft when you mix it, then becomes for firm over time. It seems to work best about 20 minutes after mixing up to 1hr+, depending on how much you're using at a time. I would recommend starting with a small amount first to get an idea of how far it goes and how long it takes before it starts hardening.I had no issue getting it to stick to the foil I used as a base, and blending new clay on top of the hard clay was fairly easy when I used a little bit of water.Because of the nature of this clay, it will stick to your skin for a while if you get it on you. They recommend using disposable gloves when working with the clay, which I would second.

I used to use a different brand of two part modeling epoxy. It the one I was introduced to when I first started using this type of product. I found it a bit difficult to use, but soon learned tricks to make it easier. When the cost of that product went up, I looked for something else and found Apoxie Sculpt. After reading the reviews I figured I may well give it a go. It cost about the same, and there was more product in the containers. I am sold on this product and will never go backIt is softer coming out of the containers. It is easier to mix the two parts together. It mixes faster and more evenly. It sticks to armatures and items very well. I use cornstarch on my glove fingertips to keep it from sticking me. That works very well and does not interfere with the product setting up properly. I can blend it easier than the old stuff. It hardens in the same fashion and I can trim small pieces off even after it is fully set with a razor blade. Ii comes in different colours if you want or need that. I do not as I paint my items to complete them.Over all, this is an easy to use product and you will get the results you want from it. I do recommend wearing gloves to prevent skin irritation. I wear gloves, as I stated earlier and just use a bit of cornstarch to prevent sticking. Give it a try. I doubt you will regret it.

quick:1) this stuff is amazing2) amazon has a really good pricedetail:Apoxie Sculpt is a two part synthetic clay with some really amazing properties. Once mixed the cure time is leisurely without taking forever. You can shorten the cure time simply by working it a bit more before you take to sculpting. I'd say it starts getting noticeably stiffer in about an hour and is pretty set in about 3 with a full cure of about 8 hours (this depends a lot on temperature and how long you work it) It works a lot like clay in that it will stick to most materials (and your hands) unless they are wet. I personally have a bowl of water handy to dip my fingers into if it's cracking too much or sticking to what you don't want it to stick to. When it sets up, it's really strong and temperature resistant to something like 400f (memory might be failing me on that one), carve-able, sand-able, and paint-able. It doesn't shrink when it cures either. I've used it to make masks, fabricate replacement parts, and to "skin" sculptures that are insulation foam at the core.I love this stuff.
