Always great product from Sculpy. My son goes through a lot of black clay. It's nuce and soft but not sticky. Bakes very nicely.

Lovely soft clay. Smaller than a Fimo block but very pleased nevertheless.

Easy to mould; a little prone to taking fingermarks, but nothing that careful handling and a little practice would not resolve. It hardened perfectly after a short while in a standard domestic oven. I used it to create balls with a pocked surface for texturing metal clay with, and found it effective. My concerns that the black pigment might somehow transfer to my working surface turned out to be unfounded, and I found the clay non-sticky and pleasant to work with. For anyone looking to create simple shapes, this product is very useful. I was happy with my purchase, and may well buy more in the future.

Sculpey in its various colours is very easy to work with. It easily moulds and blends with the rest of the range. It is also very quick to set, so make sure that any left over is kept wrapt up in plastic wrap or ziploc bags until you can get around to using it up.The product also bakes well and produces a good hardness even for finer pieces, just remember not to over bake it as this will lead to cracking and/or discolouration (especially in white). If you want a gloss finish just apply a light coat of clear varnish after you have baked the item.

I purchased this clay to make eye sockets for a glass and fabric craft. It worked great, and the clay does not smell terribly after it is baked like some clay. It is a little difficult to mold though: not as pliable as normal clay. I would recommend that if you are working on a project, to make your design out of non-baking modeling clay first. After you have done this and worked out the kinks, create the design in baking clay. I would also recommend laying something down like newspaper before you work on any surface, and keep an oil base lotion and dish soap on hand. This clay sticks to your skin quite a bit, and it will take some sturdy washing to take off. I would also recommend keeping it away from fabric: it does not come out. After baking, the product turns out very well, and shrinkage as a result of baking is minimal.
