It's a decently strong magnet, and it works as intended. You won't have to worry about it shift position while you drive.

Thinner and weaker than expected. Not as good as OEM, or at least the OEM on my vehicle. Would not trust them inside an oil pan. The thinness was also concerning, as a cracked magnet inside an oil pan can cause havock. Not saying these would necessarily crack or come loose, but I prefer thicker, stronger, magnets for this purpose.Although not designed for this purpose, I wanted to use them on the end of a car oil filter. Too weak to hold on there during vehicle movement.Had to return them. These need to be stronger (aka thicker)

I broke the magnet in an NP231 Transfer Case while doing a rebuild. (I did not realize the magnet had gotten tangled up in a shop rag while wiping up fluid from the tp-case. Pulled the rag away, shook it to open it up, and the magnet flew out and broke. Doh!)These worked perfectly. Same thickness, outside diameter, and inside diameter as original. These magnets were cut more crudely and showed kerf marks from cutting. The original was smoother and more refined. Of course, this does not matter in terms of functionality.These magnets will fit the slot and do the job. No worries.

This works to a point but if you are needing holding strength this is not it.
