This pan is a heavier gauge of metal. It fit perfectly. The drain plug is a fantastic upgrade.

I installed this on my Dodge Grand Caravan. Great quality and sealed up with no leaks. Now I'll be able to change some of the transmission fluid more often and easier than dropping the pan.

I double-checked the fit and went for gold... rather than making a mess getting off the old pan, I just drilled a hole in it, drained it completely and did the swap (also replaced the filter & gasket). I torqued to 100 in/lbs. I saw another comment saying 60 in/lbs, so you might want to double-check the right torque specs! If you don't have a torque wrench that can do inch pounds then you might want to make that your first purchase!

Dealer wants your next born child for a filter change? If you can get access to a lift, do it yourself much cheaper...Sealed trannies are made to make the dealers richer, not for the vehicle owners.I got this drain plug equipped pan and a dipstick plus Filet & Gasket and a Gallon of ATF4+ for just less than 120 dollars ( all found on Amazon ).Took under an hour to remove the old ones, wipe everything clean, and install new the new Self-Serviceable parts. All that was needed was a Number 8 socket & a T-25 Torx bit.Now I can change out the fluids at my discretion without paying an arm and a leg and change the filters much easier with a drain plug.{ Youtube has plenty of videos showing the process. }Save the money, do it yourself, and take a little pride in knowing that you did...

Fits perfectly, no leaks, and I am loving the fact that I can now cycle my fluid more regularly via the drain plug.

Huge improvement over stock pan. I can now drain transmission w/o removing pan. No problems with leaks.

Only negative is the bolt leaks initially. But I did not remove it prior to install and lube the threads which might have prevented the leak. After 100 miles or so the leak stopped. It was a very slow drip. They sell a replacement bolt with longer threads. I will replace this nut at my next ATF change.

Decided to install one of these for the first service on my Grand Caravan with 62TE transmission. I plan to change the fluid and filter a few times, and wanted something with a drain bolt. The Dorman pan looks good. It's thick and heavy and well made. Some of the holes had a little bit of flashing from the stamping process, and a couple of burrs here and there, but I put a large flat file across the surface, making sure to keep it flat, to clean up the gasket mating surface. I used a Wix 58128 filter, which includes a new pan gasket. I applied a super light film of new trans fluid on both sides of the gasket to help keep it in place, and installed the pan. I torqued the bolts to 12Nm in a pattern, skipping 2 bolts at a time, and kept going around, and staring at 6Nm, then 9Nm, then 12Nm, until all were tight. I torqued the drain bolt to 20 ft-lbs (note, ft-lbs and not Nm). Filled with fluid and ran it. I've put 1000 miles on it since the change, no leaks, no issues. I'd do this again in an instant.

I paired this with the gasket, really glad I did it. Draining the transmission oil in my 2017 promaster 2500 was a mess. You'd still have to pull this off to get the filter but it will be much easier to do drain and fills between full trans services. Stupid that the factory pan doesnt have a drain plug.As others have said you have to crank down the plug to keep it from leaking. I tightened it by hand to what seemed appropriate and it had a small persistent drip. I was surprised how tight I had to make it. That was 6 months ago though and it hasn't leaked since.

I bought this product for my 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 62TE transmission. I just replaced my OE pan with this Dorman transmission pan and it's way better than the OE pan for the simple fact that it has a drain plug. This will make it easier to drain the transmission fluid in between replacing the transmission filter. I like to stay on top of my maintenance intervals because it will extend the life of the transmission. Also, as a gasket, I did not go with the manufacturer's recommended method of using some kind of RTV gasket maker, which it had before I replaced the pan. In addition, there were obvious signs of leaks coming from the pan. So, I chose to use the Fel-Pro TOS 18757 gasket and torqued the pan bolts to around 55-60 inch pounds. There have been no leaks so far. The quality of this Dorman tranny pan is excellent and is the exact fit and fitment as the OE pan. It does not come with the magnet so be sure to re-use the old one.
