WORKS AND FIT GOOD BUT YOU WILL HAVE A SLIGHT LEAK FROM THE DRAIN PLUG. YOU WILL NEED TO SLIGHTLY LOOSEN PLUG AND RETIGHTEN IT. IT FEELS TIGHT, WHICH I THINK IS FROM THE COATING ON IT BUT THE CRUSH WASHER DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH FORCE ON IT. I CRACKED IT LOOSE AND RETIGHTEND AND NO MORE LEAKS.

This looked and fit just as well as the OEM version with the bonus of a drain plug which the OEM doesn’t have.

Me gustó porque se puede drenar, ya que cuenta con tornillo como el carter del motor.

This pan is as sturdy and hefty as the original on my 2000 Lincoln Town Car, with the added benefit of being powder coated.Yes, the drain threads got powder coated but you can fix that in about 5 minutes anyway. And you want to, because the plug that it comes with is garbage. Go to your auto parts store and buy the Needa 653116 (M14x1.5) drain plug. Instead of the metal crush washer it has a rubber O ring right on the plug (because it's not 1927 after all). When you get the pan remove the drain plug. Apply some sewing machine oil or 3 in 1 oil or whatever to the threads of your Needa plug and the pan threads. Now work it back and forth in the threads of the pan. Screw in, screw out, screw in. screw out, add a few drops of oil as you go. Do that for a few minutes then wipe off the plug threads and the pan threads and you're good to go.And yes, even with having to buy another plug and address the threads issue, this is a fantastic pan. Buy it.

good construction - read reviews about the gasket and bolt (plug) having issues due to the powder coating process while plug installed into the pan by manufacturer. This is true. Before installing on the vehicle I removed the plug and ran a razor knife between the aluminum crush gasket and plug to separate the powder coat from the plug. A couple passes with a new razor blade, then used a small flat blade screwdriver to separate crush gasket from plug. Be careful, do not bend the aluminum crush gasket. Then I took the plug and put some light oil / tap magic on the threads of the plug and ran it in and out of the pan bung three times using my ratchet, cleaning with shop towel and applying the light oil. Viola great fit and I can run the plug in and out of the pan bung by hand. If you don't have tap magic use WD-40. This process did not remove any metal, just the excess powder coating, making life easier under the truck later.Finish looked nice and mating surfaces looked true. No results on leaks, but previous reviewers indicating a good fit.

Perfect fit. No leaks. And is going to make maintenance a whole lot easier. Original transmission with 160k miles. Droppin the pan was a pain I was not going to deal with anymore. This also allows me to refresh fluid every oil change (I'm meticulous) and makes changing the filter that much easier too not having a full pan of fluid above you. Just swap the magnet over like everyone says and you're good to go. I am also going to be adding a transmission cooler to help extend the life of this thing. It does very well now and I would much rather do maintenance than a hard repair.UPDATE: have done 3 changes with it so far. Still seals great. Even got high centered in a rut back in the trees (hit it hard too. Still dry and holding on like a champ!! Not one regret with this purchase.

This review is for a Dorman 265-813 Transmission Pan with Drain Plug.I have had this drain pan on my 2004 Expedition 5.4, 4 wheel drive for almost three months now. There are no leaks visible around the drain pan or on the plug itself. There is no transmission fluid on my garage floor, and I have not seen any in my parking space at work. The installation was as simple as putting the old drain pan back on. I was able to use the original seal after inspecting it for damages. Two weeks ago I used the drain plug for the first time. It worked like a charm. It took minutes to drain the fluid in the pan, and replace with new fluid. Without the drain plug, it was a multiple hour project between the actual work and cleaning up the mess. I have no complaints about this particular drain pan. If you are someone who likes to do your own work, and keep up with the maintenance on your car, this drain pan will save you a lot of headaches in the long run.Pros:Exact fit for my 2004 Expedition 5.4, 4 wheel drive. As easy to install as the original.Drain plug for easy draining.Cons:None.
