This ball thrower works well for my pup. It keeps her engaged. I like that it has a control on the back that can adjust for distance. It also has a random control so that the distance varies with each throw. Has held up well without any problems.

I bought this last year on Amazon day. Wasn't sure my jack Russell would like it...SHE LOVES IT! Took about 6 months before she learned to put the ball in without me. I could not have been happier. Then after about 8 months it stopped throwing the 30 feet it had been doing. She still played but 10 feet just didn't get her panting.....then down to 3 feet by October. Figured I would read the instructions on how to clean it....there were no instructions. The gears were un reachable, tho I could see they were dirty and all I could do was wipe the exterior and use canned air to try and blow any dust.I just figured I'd have to buy another.. did the math and for the money I paid (on sale) it cost about $7 a month for my dogs happiness.I reached out to the seller asking that he please send me the disassembly and cleaning instructions and explained the issue. I recieved a reply the very next day. Im guessing there are no cleaning instructions, or blueprints for assembly because the seller apologized for the trouble, then sent me a replacement. Less than 5 days it arrived. Its been a good/fun product that my dog has learned to play without my help and this seller is TOP NOTCH for making it easy. They did the right thing.

This ball launcher works great! We are only using it indoors for now and on the lowest distance. Weather here in OH is raining but we can’t wait to try it outside. It does require batteries to be portable but we are using the power cord for now. I loved the packaging, it was cute!

This Greenvine Automatic DogBall Launcher was a replacement as the first one I ordered launched only twice out of the box and then only intermittently at best after that. Because I thought I had read good reviews about this product and thought maybe the first one received was a lemon, I decided not to give up on this product and returned it to try another one. Our 1-year-old miniature dachshund loves playing fetch with balls and so I was so hoping the next one would not be defective. I received the second one yesterday and unfortunately it also is defective and actually will not launch the included balls. Sooooooo disappointing that the replacement also does not work. I paid $138.73 for an item that does not work! Our dog is also very disappointed that it will not launch a ball for her to fetch, barking at it wondering why it will not launch! I am now sending this second replacement ball launcher back! It is very disappointing and unfortunate this expensive product does not actually work!

I used to have a big Go Dog Go thrower for a larger dog that I had. My dog now is only 12 1/2 pounds. She can fetch large tennis balls, but she really prefers littleer ones so, I thought this would be ideal. As other reviews have stated, when I opened up the plastic balls they had a very awful smell. After washing them with soap and water, I left them on the counter for a couple weeks. They aired out just fine. I think the smell is like any plastics that get sealed in amother plastic bag and don't get air... they smelled. They are fine now.She loves playing with this you. Although she's stubborn and doesn't want to put the ball in herself, she wants me to do it and give her attention. It doesn't throw the balls extremely far, even at 30 feet. But that's OK because she's a small dog. I wouldn't get this for a dog over 20 pounds because they wouldn't really have to run far enough to get good exercise. We've used it indoors and outdoors. Love that I can set the distance just right for shooting it across my living room or all the way down the hallway.

I was just excited about getting this as my pup was to play with it. Unfortunately, it's an unusable design. If the ball even SLIGHTLY gets wet (it's in the dogs mouth, how would it not), the product stops working. The ball goes into the shooter system, attempts to shoot, and is stuck until you manually remove it. Also even if the ball is slightly wet, you also lose your range completely. The 10, 20, 30 feet is all just 5 feet at that point. We just got this in the mail an hour ago, and after 6-7 launches it's already useless because the ball just jams in the system and needs intervention. Will be returning tomorrow.
