Float works as described and was purchased to replace a similar float that stopped working. I am a satisfied customer.

I cannot install through the wall of the fountain. Laid the mechanism on the side, as shown. It does not stop the water from filling the bowl.

I installed this on a line with a 25 psi reducer, since my line water pressure is very high. It works great. The float is very adjustable with a wing nut, so you don’t need to really stress too much about getting the hole at the perfect height. You can fine tune it once it’s installed, as long as you can reach it from the inside. This has made my fountain fill fully automatic. I haven’t had to make any adjustments at all to my water level since installing this.

I have an Atlantic Garden fountain (a closed system that holds a few gallons of water) that uses this to auto fill the reservoir. I bought this unit to auto fill a several hundred gallon water feature in my yard. Works beautifully, and is much smaller than other float valves you might use. I like the4 black color, because you can hardly see it (there other floats I've seen are much bigger and very white). The unit comes with three or four different attachments so it can be installed into many different plumbing schemes (PVC, flex tubing...). I've had this in use for four years and it has held-up in all weather conditions including the ponds freezing over in the middle of winter.

Works as stated... in fact it is the (almost) perfect solution for my pond/fountain. Prior to this, I had a float arm and brass autofill valve. I was going to replace it with the same when I came across this item (which is about $30 cheaper). This works better at controlling the flow of water and looks much better in my pond (almost unnoticeable). The only issue I have is what it is made out of. It is good quality PVC but I would prefer if it could be made of something more durable like brass. It would be the perfect product if they would offer an upgraded model made of high quality brass parts. I live in Arizona and this is going to be sitting in a front yard pond/fountain exposed to the sun all day and every day (the pond/fountain is structural... part of the house which is plumbed with pool equipment, not some home depot purchase). So I am concerned with regard to its overall durability but I don't have any complaints thus far. Just wish they offered an upgraded model. I am more of a "one and done" kind of buyer rather than ordering a replacement product every year (or other year as the case may be). I would rather pay a higher initial cost and not have to worry about it.So in summary... great product... just consider offering a version that could be even greater.

I used this as an auto filler for the pot water large feature I just built. We have had water features before where it was hard to keep them full (wind, splash-out, & evaporation), so installing something like this & tapping off the sprinkler system for a water source made sense to us. This is the 2nd water feature where we used a float filler, & we had such a good experience with the previous one, we had to do it for this job. Easy to install into the water basin we used & will do the job intended.

I saw this little device on Amazon and thought it would work well for my Koi pond. Now I am a tinkerer and it took some doing but because of this item my pond is now self filling. I actually mounted it with cable ties and onto a small plastic base, set it on a rock, got a bunch of fittings from Home Depot to attach it to a 1/2 inch line, (it comes with a one half inch adaptor piece but it is a 90 degree curve and wouldn't work for my application, ran the 1/2 line through the pond rock, mulch, under the lawn, to my closest hose and after all that it works great. This is a good quality piece, does not leak, and comes with all necessary fittings It can be mounted inside a skimmer box which would be idea but mine was just too small. The black color camoflages it well if you have to put it in a conspicuous spot.
