Although it is true is easy to set up and attached it to your pump which is the reason I got one star otherwise we got zero stars. After three hours of trying to get the right flow of water to come and make a bell shaped I only have water coming out on one side of the Fountain. The pump is level and the tubes are straight up and down and try to increase and decrease and increase and everything in between and could never once get a perfect bell shape or anything that look like a bell shaped. Save your time and energy and buy a different one because this one doesn’t work.

A replacement OEM item. This is a good fountain stem. Not a great one.It produces a beautiful globe of cascading water that certainly increases the air for fish.It is great for use when the pond is very clear and minimal leaf litter is falling or when spring algae bloom tends to erupt. At those time, it is better to remove the head and just let water shoot out of the hose. The problem then is particles get trapped in the base of the top element and block the thing. If you are then using this thing, it is better to have installed a 't' into the stem so the water is diverted back into the pond. Otherwise, the pump could lose flow.But, it is a great little tool that just need to be attended to more frequently when you are getting more stuff on the water.

I was happy to find this fountain - it's not readily available in Hawaii - to replace the fountain on my fishpond pump. The old fountain had cracked at the base the stem (after about 4 years ... I think it was also a Danner), and the stem would not stay attached to the flow controller on top of the pump anymore. After I removed the flow controller, the new fountain actually screwed directly into my pump for a very solid connection. The fountain itself works beautifully!

Still trying to adjust the fountain. It works with a little prompting, which sometimes can be awkward when you are trying to adjust it while in the pond.

I was replacing an old mushroom fountain. I really only needed the screw on adapter part, but bought the whole kit because after time minerals in the water will cause the edge of the dome to become rough. When the edge is new and smooth the resulting water flow looks like a soap bubble it is so perfect and thin. I have used these mushrooms in my pond for 17 years because my pond is small, 275 gallons and about 5 x 7 surface area. The mushroom stays low so wind doesn't blow the water out of my pond like a taller spray would.
