I don't normally do reviews, but this item nearly burned down my house. I've kept aquariums for 30+ years, I know how to protect equipment from water. This failed at the control box and created a 6" arc flash. This product should not be sold at all. The only reason I bought a cheap product like this is that I made changes to my filtration and it caused a bacteria bloom. I needed something fast and almost paid much bigger price. Never again.

After trying for weeks to get out tank clear again after major algae bloom, cleaning tank, filters, pumps several partial water chanees. This UV light/filter cleared our tank clearer than it’s ever been. Like looking through glass. It worked great in just about a weeks time. We could see a difference after 2 days.

After a frustrating experience with two defective filters from Coospider, I’m so relieved and happy to say that this filter works perfectly! Despite Coospider having many positive reviews, both filters I received from them had non-functional UV lights, and their lack of customer service made the situation even more aggravating.Switching to this new filter has been a night-and-day difference. It was easy to set up, and the UV light works as advertised. Within just a few hours of running, I noticed a significant improvement in my tank’s water clarity. The flow is adjustable, which is great for my turtle's comfort, and the overall design feels sturdy and well-made.This filter has been everything I was hoping for—effective, reliable, and worth the investment. If you’re looking for a filter with a UV sterilizer that actually works, I highly recommend this one. I wish I had chosen it from the start!

Seems to work well, but I found it caused the temperature of my 40gal tank to climb quite a bit.

I bought this to use in my converted deep freeze to cold plunge and have been using about 30 days. This pump is rated for up to 120 gallons, I’m using bt 75-100 gallons. It does a fair job of water displacement and does well at catching debris in the filter. It’s probably better suited for 50-75 gallons, for my purpose. For aquarium use, it’s probably well suited. I really only have 2 issues; 1. The sponge filter decinegrates after 30 days, will need replacements for long term use; 2. The suction cups lose their suction after about 3 weeks. Had to secure it with waterproof tape.

Put this in our 125g koi tank and the water cleared perfectly in 2 days!I leave the UV light on 24 hours a day and it’s been going for months with no issues.Easy to clean and very quiet.
