The bagel slicer looks great on the grand scheme of things. It’s built solid and the handle grip will be helpful. I am unsure on whether I can use the slicer. When I pulled the cardboard out from the slicing slot, it looked like it soaked something from the wood. I cannot identify what that is at all. I don’t know if my bagels will soak the same substance while in use. Due to the soaked cardboard, I took away a couple stars as don’t feel right about using this item.

I’m happy with the design of this bagel cutter. My previous one was the traditional shape and I always thought it was sketchy to hold. This one has a grippe on the side to keep hands out of the way and keeps it steady while cutting. It’s nicer looking as well vs the light colored bamboo ones.

An item I didn’t know I needed. This is a cool idea and helps make bagel cutting much quicker and safer than just doing it with your hand. I also love this for my kids. They haven’t been cut with cutting bagels but make me nervous. This is Easy, just put the bagel in the hole sideways and get a knife out (segregated) and cut down the middle.The wood is beautiful as well and high quality all around. Great gift idea for someone too.

This Bagel Slicer is beautiful. The wood is rich and the slicer arrived already oiled. It looks beautiful on my counter.I worked for years in a high-end custom cabinet shop so I can say with some confidence that the slicer is well put together.The opening for the bagel will accommodate most any bagel (mine is from Sam's Club - bigger than Thomas’s but smaller than one you would buy at a NY Deli) and the opening for the knife is ample.It is easy to turn the slicer upside down and brush or shake out the crumbs.However, the handle is pretty useless, because you still have to hold the bagel (not the handle) at the very least to get it started, otherwise it just rolls and slips in the slicer.It is still helpful and makes cutting the bagel somewhat safer. Right now it's on sale for $20 so if you like the look of wood and need a beautiful and safe(ish) way to slice your bagels, get it!

We love bagels for breakfast but it’s difficult to cut them perfectly. This really helps make it easy and get it straight too.The handle is a little awkward but with practice it is t difficult. We use a break knife so it’s big and fits really well inside the middle slot.It’s made of heavy duty wood and doesn’t look dishwasher safe. We clean it by hand and let it air dry.It is easy to clean and looks great.

This is a really nice bagel slicing holder. The handle makes it easy to hold while keeping my fingers away from the knife, while holding the bagel upright. This works best on bagels with a firmer or crustier outside, but even softer bagels without a crust are easier to cut in this jig - I just used more back-and-forth sawing motion with the bread knife while using minimal pressure, and the stability of the holder kept the bagel in place while the knife did its work!Works with your favorite bread knife. I definitely had my best luck with a larger bread knife so that the tip poked out the other end of the holder's groove, keeping it steady and in-line with the existing slice until it bottomed out and the bagel was completely cut in two.

I really like this bagel slicing gadget. It is made pretty well although there is on brad nail that missed its mark but it doesn't seem to be causing any sort of structural problems and it doesn't protrude. I like the handle because it is not squared off. It is narrower at the inside portion which allows a better grip while cutting. The way it was packaged impressed me some as well, because they inserted a piece of cardboard in the slot to keep it from breaking during transit. This causes me to believe they take pride in their product and take care to insure a pleasing customer experience. It worked in my case.I am happy with my order and I hope this was helpful. ✔️ Thanks!

I don't think this bagel slicer is particularly attractive, but it definitely works! It's a solid block with a sturdy handle and if you're using it right, it's not going to slip and potentially cause you to cut yourself. It definitely makes cutting bagels a breeze and if you eat them often like I do, you'll want to get one of these ASAP. Once you have one, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it!
