This was a lot heavier than I had anticipated, probably indestructible and should last forever. I have generally made bread with my bread machine that I’ve had for many years, but not used it recently. When I was making bread, I had a wood slicer that just didn’t hold up very well over time, slices were uneven and wasn’t easy to store, so I just tossed it. This makes slicing absolutely simple and accurate, just adjust for the width of your loaf and slice away. They come out perfect, even slices every time and the non-slip crumb tray is great, never had that before. I frequently buy fresh bread from the bakery and use this to slice it instead of pre-sliced bread, it stays fresher in a loaf until I am ready to use it. My only concern is for my knives, when you are cutting each slice, you have to drag the blade across the bottom onto the steel base, so I put a small thin sheet of bamboo on the bottom for the bread to sit on as I am slicing. A little pricey at $59.99, but it’s so convenient and easy to store, it’s probably worth it.

Works very well. I sincerely appreciate that it is the same size of slice all the way through. While this does limit the slice sizing options, for my uses, it's perfect. I love that it is made of metal and that I don't have to worry about the inevitable wood sliver in the bread because I misjudged where to put the knife. Good construction, easy to use and clean. Love it.

This bread slicing guide is a lot more sturdy than I expected! I think it will become a family hand-me-down through the generations.It is adjustable as to width, and gets big enough, and small enough, for just about all the different bread loafs I bake.It comes with a base and sides as one piece, with an adjustable guide that locks in place in the front.If you assemble it, and it does not allow the slices to go through the bottom of the bread, then you have it upside down. Don’t ask me how I learned that!Put together correctly, it does allow you the room to slice completely through the bread.I was impressed with the weight and good materials used for this. They even include a silicone base to collect the breadcrumbs, for easy disposal.Recommended!

This bread slicer more sturdy than I expected! It honestly reminds me of an heirloom, which is kind of nice if it gets passed down from me lol. I make sourdough bread, bagels, etc, very often and just hated how I would make a loaf and not be able to cut it evenly for sandwiches for my kids. This allows for that. At first I was disappointed that it hit the metal base when I was cutting bread, I was so worried for my knives. Then, I realized I put it together wrong because I couldn't imagine why they'd make a produce where you hit the metal and not be able to fully cut the bread. So, when you put it together correctly, it does slice completely through the bread. I think I originally had it upside down? So for those having issues, check it again and make sure you put it together correctly.I like how it's easy to store, enjoy the fact it feels heavy-duty, and also like that they included a crumb tray under. We love it when we don't have a big mess to clean up for a product that's supposed to make our lives easier!Overall, I'd get it if you make breads. I think the price may be a little steep, but if this lasts as long as I'm hoping then it might be worth the tag.

The guides on this make for clean, even slices. It is adjustable so it fit my artisan loaves just fine. You can cut through the bottom of the loaf easily and the crumb tray is lightly larger to catch them all while also helping this not slip. It folds up easily for storage and is extremely heavy-duty. Instructions were clear.

This was a lot heavier and a lot more heavy-duty than I was expecting! The quality seems nice - I love that it is stainless steel. I'm glad they included a silicone base to catch crumbs.I don't like that there isn't something in place at the bottom - the knife has to hit the bottom of the slicer and there isn't anything in place to keep that from happening.

We love this bread slicer. It is the only one we've found that is comfortably large enough to accomodate our 1.5 lb loaves of bread that my husband makes in the bread machine.I also like that it is stainless steel. And the bright green plastic tray it comes with is great for catching crumbs.Highly, highly recommend.

Conceptually, this is great - I used it to cut up some store bought garlic bread because I hadn't made any fresh bread lately. It did exactly what it was supposed to BUT the squeeeeee squeeeeee noise that it makes while you cut, it's like fingernails down a chalkboard and I was using a coated knife. I don't know what the solution would be to fix that, but I'll be using it with ear protection from now on.
