I assumed all bagel slicers were equal. We have a Crofton at our office and I love it. I couldn’t find another at Aldi so I came to Amazon and found this one. The Crofton slices perfectly with ease. This slicer mashed my bagels and didn’t slice but rather just dented them. Sad I had to return it and continue my hunt for a Crofton or something comparable.

I still use it, but it doesn't cut bagels as much as it squashes them.

Wanted to love this and have had for few months to try and figure it out. I'm usually able to get about half a slice and then it smashes the rest of it.Throwing out and ordered a different type. Disappointed.

Sometimes our daughter wants to toast her own bagel, but cutting it with a knife and cutting board can be a struggle. This device makes that task both safer and easier. It cuts well with less mess than the traditional method. Overall, we would recommend this bagel slicer.

If your Bagels are too soft it will really smash them up. So it's better to cut them half frozen.

Bought a a gift! I've owned one for 20+years and it is still working as the first day! Beats getting snipped with a knives. My 6 year old⁰ grandson lives to slice bagels!

Cuts bagels really well. Just wish it had a clip at the bottom so when you put it away both pieces stay together.
