It is a small microscope but has all the specs of a full size microscope. The optic quality is good and the unit can be used in a variety of places, including clinical labs, schools and universities. I have been buying and using lab equipment for more than 25 years and this microscope is a good option for those with a low budget. There is a potential problem, the LED lamp is not available on amazon. I was able to find the LED lamp in Miami. A company called Kyrios Soter Scientific sells them. If you are looking for it, google it; it shows up in that search. That company is the best at what they do. I looked the Google reviews and they have excellent reviews.
