I have been using this microscope quite a bit since I purchased it a couple of weeks ago. For students or kids this is a fine tool, but for someone who has used quality lab equipment, it is lacking. For example, the rotating eyepiece spins freely and no matter how tight you turn the set screw, it continues to move out of place far too easily. For the price, the optics are clear and the overall body of the scope is sturdy, but the plastic control knobs feel cheap and the directions are worthless. It will do the job, but it is not the quality I had hoped for.I should have spent a little more to get a higher quality tool for adults.

I bought this microscope for a small home project. I have a biophysics background. I worked for a company that sold microscope for laboratory research 20 years ago To my surprise, the image quality of this microscope is very close to the lab microscope that cost five times more. The focusing mechanism and the stage moment are very smooth. The lens has a very flat viewing field. The simple photo bracket with a smart phone holder worked better than the traditional trinocular microscope, and eyepiece camera. The image is fairly sharp. This package comes with everything you need to get a good microscope image and photo. It contains a set of prepared biological sample, glass, slides, cover, glass, immersion oil, smart phone holding clamp. There are several things need to be improved. 1) Parfocality is not very good. When changing the magnification, user has to refocusing the microscope. But the problem is mostly on the low magnification range, especially for the 4X objective. 2) poor instructions. For people who has not used microscope before, the included instruction won’t provide much help. There is also a bottle of liquid with no label. based on the color, I thought it could be a lubricant oil, but it turned out to be the immersion oil.Attached the pictures were taken by this microscope with a iPhone 13 camera. They are from the red blood cells samples slide included in the package.

My kids always use their phones after school,so I bought them a microscope as a toy.I want them to get an early start in science and develop an interest in the natural world around them. The microscope is quite sturdy, with two eyepieces and four objective lenses. It even came with ten prepared slides, which look very clear. For 100x magnification, we’ll need cedar oil, but we haven't tried that yet. They're very interested, and in a few days, I'll let them make their own slides.

It has a good focal range of 40xto2500x and the images are sharp and crystal clear, I also like the refractive index has a wide adjustable range so your not having to squint all the time to see the image. This is a good quality microscope that’s capable of real, practical use .

I bought this to use at home for fun. I'm a biology major, and this microscope is nearly the same quality as the ones we use in our labs.Pros:The price is very reasonable.Includes 10 prepared slides, 50 blank sides, and 100 slip covers.Metal construction.Includes foam-lined case for travel/storage.Has 4 objective lenses.Pretty good optics.Cons:The prepared slides are...okay overall. A few are good, a few are meh.The 25x oculars blur the image.Stupid USB power cable that is too short.Single light source.A pitiful amount of oil is included (the picture is accurate).Additional thoughts:Many manufacturers include higher-power ocular lenses to market a higher magnification power. Adding a higher power ocular is similar to zooming in on a picture you took with your phone: you'll get a closer look, but since it doesn't increase resolution it appears blurry the more you zoom. 1000x total magnification is the upper limit due to the wavelength of light. To achieve a clear 1000x magnification with this microscope, you need to use the 10x ocular and 100x objective, with a drop of immersion oil on both the top of the slide cover and the lens itself. If you don't use oil, you will get a blurry image due to how light refracts through the air. The oil fills the air gap between the slide and lens which provides a clearer image.
