I ordered this for my daughter who is really into science. It’s been an excellent experience! The microscope works pretty well but does feel a little bit cheaply made for the price. I love the phone holder, it’s so easy to take photos or videos of the specimens. Overall, it’s a great gift for kids or anyone interested in science, offering tons of learning opportunities and fun exploration!

My husband who is 90 bought this for our grandson who’ll be seven soon. My husband is a scientist, and wanted to pass his love of microscopy to our grandson. He many microscopes, but they are too advanced. He wanted a good, working microscope that a young person can use. Oh he bought many and returned them all saying that they were nothing more than junk and would only frustrate a child. However, this … he was impressed!!When he sat down with our grandson to use it, he found the child was able to use it on his own!!You may think it’s a bit early to give a 6 yr old one, but his grandpa is 90My husband would probably write a detailed review but this is from the unscientific grandma!

This was a great value for the money because it came with so many microscope, strengths, samples of objects to look at, little trays to put things on, a little petri dish, and it even hooked up to your phone so you can share the things you find. It took me some practice to figure out how to work it, but after 20 minutes, I was looking at everything in my house. This is great for curious minds.

This would be a great microscope to stimulate young minds and open up a whole new world for them to discover. No, it’s not a professional lab tool, but it’s a great tool for those who want to learn about things not visible to the naked eye. I am retired from a research and development laboratory and I wish I would have had microscope this nice when I was a kid. It works well and has very good magnification for the price. The slides are fairly easy to see, but the leds need to be a little brighter. Other than that, it’s a great tool for the price.

I ordered this for a nine yro Christmas gift who is fascinated with science and nature. When she opened her gift and saw this she gave me the biggest hug. It looks wonderful, worth every penny!

I got this microscope set for my niece and she's been having a good time with it. It's a decent starter microscope and it was well-packaged, but it doesn't really give you any guidance so I wouldn't get it for someone who doesn't have some experienced guidance available. Parts aren't marked on the outsides of the containers, and there's no explanation of the samples - there's "Feather A" and "Feather B" but nothing about the feathers beyond that.

This microscope has a lot of nice features - dual eyepieces, 4 objectives, two lighting modes, color filters, and even a mechanical stage. However, the whole thing just kind of feels like it was made at a very low price point. The top light seems a little too high up to be useful with longer objectives, the method of adjusting distance between eyepieces is a plastic lever that doesn't move smoothly, the eyepieces are not quite level, and there's noticeable plastic parts that just make it feel kind of cheap. With that said, it seems like it's a decent microscope otherwise. My glasses don't let me look into the eyepieces properly, and with my glasses off I can't bring the image into focus very well, so I can't really evaluate how well this works compared to other binocular microscopes. But from what I can see, the quality of the lenses and objectives is fine, and functionally it works well enough. The storage case is also nice.Overall, at $130 it doesn't seem like a bad deal, but I would suggest thinking about if you want to spend more and invest in a higher-quality unit.
