Great product! Gate will fit almost any opening. This worked great for my broken plastic gate. Was easy to build and came out great. Total was about 200$ after I purchased the 2x4s and fence boards.Much cheaper than a new plastic gate that isn’t as sturdy. Just bought another one to replace the seconddamaged gate with a 46” opening.

Finally removed my old gate with the Z design 2x4s and installed this solid gate system. Used 6 foot redwood boards with tongue and groove to get the nice surface and stained it to match. Make sure to secure it well to your wall or connecting post. And use all the screws. You will have a very solid gate after you tighten the cable. I still can’t get over how well the gate latches. Solid. To think I paid a handyman 500 last time for a janky wood gate. This new gate is the best.

The design is very nice, no sagging, very strong, I would purchase again. The only problem I had was applying the vertical facade boards to the front. The space between the hinges, and the inner metal portion of the gate is 4-5 inches. My facade boards were 6 inch (5.5 true) width, leaving very little for retention onto the wooden cross boards. It just means I had a wider gap along the hinge side, instead of a more uniform appearance. If I had used a wider facade board it would not have been an issue. But still, simple, nicely made, very functional.

Easy to assemble and resulted in dead plumb and level gates. Both my gates are very heavy as they are incognito and match with my fence design. The gate kit handles the weight and bulk, no problem! Great purchase!

I had been looking for a gate for my storage shed area as I was replacing all wood slats to existing 4 x 4’s. My storage shed area is 6 feet deep by 9 feet wide. Adjust-O-Gate has met all my expectations. Easy to install, very sturdy and well built and strong to hold wood fence slats 6 feet tall and has an adjustment cable if necessary to take out any future SAG that may occur. Highly recommend this for someone wanting a gate that will last many years in good fine working order. The adjuster gate comes with all parts necessary, except for an exterior gate handle.

I like these ones better then the box store kits you can buy. Used these gates a few times already and they work like a champ. Easy to assemble and nice and sturdy when all done.

Solid gate, had to to do some modifications, like indenting the end planks to sit flat on the hardware. I also bought the wrong size, thought the sizes where for the height of the gate not the width, so I had to cut the tubes down for a 3 ft opening. I’m happy how it turned out and looks good, the black metal frame is nice.

Very good gate frame. Unique and well thought out design. Creates a very strong sturdy gate. Instructions straight forward. Construction well built. Once you see how it’s going together it makes so much sense. Unlike other reviews I had no issue with lumber size, hinges, or other hardware. It’s a good kit. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. The only issue I had was the screws which were provided. They are made from softer metal and with a Phillips head. They strip out easily. I threw them away and used my own screws with a Robertson head. Stronger and no stripping. It’s a minor issue but don’t use their hardware.

I purchased two Adjust-A-Gates to create a double-door entry to allow storage of my trailer within my fenced in yard. They were purchased and installed in May 2012. I wanted to wait a few fonths to see how they held up before reviewing. To ensure the gates were not extended to their limits I spaced my gate posts about 9'-6" apart. I am glad I did. At that spacing I had to cut the 2"x4" braces to about 54" long. At that length, the gate was near it's limits. I do not see how you could effectively get a 60" gate without having gaps in the intermediate member and gate end members. Therefore I give the gate a rating of 4 stars. That issue aside, installation was relatively simple for one person. The boxes were slightly damaged upon arrival but all contents were there and the coatings in perfect shape. I found that laying all the components out at the job site to be extremely useful. The instructions are adequate as once you see the gate laid out installation would become obvious to most. The hinge pin installation was the most difficult part. Unless you have forearms of steel, ensure you have a length of pipe that will slide over the pin giving you a mechanical advantage when turning it into the post. I did not...a crescent wrench barely did the job the last few turns.TIP: Place a liberal amount of grease on the pins before setting gate on hinge pinsThe rest of the installation was a breeze. Install hinged gate end, attach top and bottom 2"x4" members, slide in intermediate steel members, attach opposite gate end to 2"x4"'s, center intermediate steel and screw into place, install center 2"x4", add anti-sage cable and tighten, check level, and install pickets. In all, it took me just over an hour to get both gates installed. Two months and half later in the hot south carolina sun and random afternoon thunderstorms, the gates have held up remarkably well. However, they will still sag no matter how tight you get the cable/turnbuckle. Therefore it is critical that you DO NOT IGNORE THE SPACING requirements in the instructions. The instructions recommend 1" clear, in my case, between gates. I think I had around 3/4" perfectly level along the height ot the gate. the top corners of the gates now just barely touch. It is not a problem for me and appears to have reached maximum sag. I did hang these gates on 6"x6" posts which I recommend everybody do. Gap/sag problems can be compounded by unfavorable warping of the more slender and susceptible 4"x4" posts resulting in 1" gap not being enough. Just some food for thought. In short, I think this is a great product worth of consideration when building a fence. Having built a custom gate for my fence in another location I can personally say this product makes the job faster and easier. I am confident my gate will hold up for years to come and recommend this product to all.
