This isn't a great annular cutter. Had a hard time forming clear cut metal chips/spirals. After a few holes it was becoming dull. I would stay away.

I have used this for cutting 12 holes in 1/2 steel plate. No issues. Still as sharp as when I started. The first time I had issues with removal of the steel center for some reason but after that one all the rest pushed out like they were made to do. Very good quality.

Drilled 8 - 1 1/2 inch holes through 3/4 inch plate cutter performed as it should , did a great job. Make sure to use plenty of coolant

I hate to have to write this but I didn't have the great luck that others seem to have had. I bored one hole and half way thru the next, it stopped cutting, just spinning! I was spraying it with Roto-magic fluid the whole time. I looked at the end of the teeth and a groove was cut into them that had removed the sharpest point of the teeth..I can't say for certain that it was the tools fault, perhaps there was a hard spot in the metal?? I was going thru some C-channel about 5/16 thick and was using a mag drill made for these cutters. That single hole cost me $34.99. Really bummed about that. As a hobbyist, that stings a little. Now how do I bore the other 43 holes I need done??Guess I'll try my luck at sharpening it. (never did one of these before)P.S. I have many other annular cutters that I've used over and over again without a single problem. (not this brand)

First time I have used one of these types of cutter, I drill alot of holes with my Jet Drill press and these things just cant be beat, I am cooling thru the center with Antifreeze and they dont heat up at all. 1 1/2" hole thru 1/2 AR50 plate in under 60 seconds.
