Annular Cutters are the standard hole-making drills in the industry. Ideal for heavy-duty use on-site or in the shop, our HSS Unibroach cutters are CNC precision ground for fast penetration, accuracy and long life. Flutes run the length of the cutter for efficient chip clearance, increasing drilling productivity and decreasing cutter breakage. Drill holes 3 times faster than twist drills. Produce reamed-quality burr-free holes and solid slugs. Reduce machine size and weight. Cutting edges are resharpenable. Eliminate time-consuming, costly pilot holes and step drilling. Every annular cutter up to 4" depth comes with a corresponding pilot pin included. HSS Cutters must be used with lubricant. I was shipped a cutter that had been welded to some sort of hole saw arbor. It was obviously used and had damage on the cutting edges. The price was doubled since I ordered the first one, so a replacement was not an option, nor will I spend this much for a sub-par cutter that is potentially used. I will stick with Hougen. Thanks for wasting my time.

my evelotion 1/2" annular cutter finally dulled after 62 holes drilled in 1/2" mild steel. the 1/2" cs unitec annular cutter was bought to finish the next forty holes i needed to finish on my project. i took the chance and got what i paid for.

Worked well for cutting holes in 1/8” thick type 304 stainless plate steel. 8 holes, no reduction in cutting efficiency noted.

1x3” annular cutter. First one catastrophically failed after only 3 holes going through 1/4” mild steel using a dewalt mag drill under moderate feed rate with Stalube cutting fluid. Requested a replacement and that one failed on the 11th hole - same conditions.
