All of the thermal pads were of the same thickness. This doesn’t work well has the cpu is taller than the rest Fortunately, I had a few extra pads of different sizes. Otherwise I would have returned this item.

Bought the raspberry pi 5 for a project that started to heat the processor more then I expected. Had to order this to fix the overheating. The fan was able to keep everything cool well below where I need it be. Quite fan and fits perfectly for the Pi5.

I had to return another brand active cooler because it came missing the mounting screws. This one uses pushpins to mount to the Raspberry Pi 5 and seems essentially to be identical to the 'official' RPi 5 active fan. It's been in continuous use since purchase several weeks ago and working perfectly. Fan control via Pi also works perfectly.

This active cooler works better than the passive coolers. Included is the thermal pads for all the chips to transfer heat. This one looks like the official cooler and will allow other components which need clearance. Take a look at my pics for you to compare with the OEM.Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information.

This is the best type of cooler for the Raspberry PI because it's compact and allows for the installation of a HAT above it, and it's very quiet and effective at cooling. It's identical to the "official" Active Cooler except for the lack of the raspberry logo, so it's a good buy.

The build quality is good, with a custom aluminum heat sink, metal-shielded fan, and pwm wires. There's a slight whir when it's spinning up and running, but not too bad. I don't have an OEM cooler for comparison, but it appears identical to the pictures. Price is reasonable, but the biggest advantage is that this is actually available - in April 2024 the OEM cooler is still difficult to locate (more difficult than the raspi 5). Good value.

This fits my Raspberry PI 5 perfectly. It's very quiet. It keeps the CPU and other components cool. It was super easy to install.

This was far easier than I expected to install. The kit comes with 3 thermal pads, remove the plastic on one side then apply it to the chips (shown in the pictures), then hold the pad down with a finger and use a razor to help pry the plastic film from the other side. With the thermal pads fully exposed, line up the pins on the fan with the holes on your Pi and press down till you hear a click. The final thing to do is plug the fan into the Pi's fan port (the fan port on the pi has a plastic guard, i used a razor blade to pop mine off). I had no problem booting up my pi with the fan and the M.2 adapter using a Pi5 approved power supply. When the Pi is first turned on, the fan will spin up at full speed and then turn off after it boot-up. If the pi gets warm the fan will automatically kick on to cool the processor. Overall I'm really happy with this fan and heat-sync. I am not planning to overclock my pi, but i noticed the processor was too hot to touch during normal use, so this will give me some peace of mind.
