I just installed it on my wife’s Audi and very happy. I did not use the clamps. I just drilled holes in the cars crossbars and used the supplied nuts and bolts to secure it on. Very low profile and solid connections. Exactly what I was hoping I could do.

This product should have zero stars. This product is defective. The clamp doesn't even close properly without skis. The key doesn't lock. I bought this item at the beginning of the winter and only tested it later unfortunately. Amazon is not letting me return it. It is a scam

Couldnt even use at all, both the brackets came cracked, one of then would not lock and coildnt even screw on any of the nuts thag holds them to the cross bars. The nuts were impossible to screw on, not like in the video ad.

I like the product well enough. I just put it on (took me about 30mins of hand cinching that ish) but, it wasn't too bad to do. My issue is that the pre-drilled hole isn't spaced same for both racks. The crossbars on my car is spaced at the same length yet the front side rack I was able to lock in with much ease - the back rack, I had to flip the retaining arms around and it's STILL short of about a 1/4-1/2".I could flip the racks around and it would still be the same (now the front rack is short and rear is flushed).The rack and crossbar retaining coupler is way too difficult to hand-crank on and off constantly to try and find the best match.Imma zip tie it down and see how it fairs on this ski trip I have coming up and I'll update this afterwards.

It was very easy to instal and used right away. It looks solid and it holds skis and boards perfectly. I’m very happy with this purchase and the price!

So far I am very happy with these for the money. They are a major PITA to set up though. There are easier ways to do it, but it took a while because trying to fit my hand under the rail to tighten these was rough. But once they are on, I can keep the brackets connected and easily remove the rack portion when I want to when not in use then reinstall that part easily. It held 2 snowboards and skiis just fine. No issues whatsoever. Only have one trial with it so far, but it seems like it should last a while. Fit my 2012 Rav4 btw.11 month update:Still going strong, but they do have a little superficial rust at the welds right now. They still seem as solid as day 1, but I do believe this rust will get worse and worse at some point. Seems to be very very slow though. Won't knock a star yet. I do leave them on year round so they are exposed to the elements all year.

The rack is easy to install and after one use seems sturdy enough. Did not hear any wind noise and the 3 pairs of skis and one snowboard fit easily. I did not like the fact that the key is needed to open and close the latches. And the key cannot be removed with the latches unlocked. Other than that the product is a good value for the money.
