Our very tall front door does not have a security door or peephole. We love the look of the rusted metal which fits well in a southwestern home. It was easy to install, and cost a lot less than having a security door installed! Now it easy to see out and have cross ventilation without the front door being opened.

The first shipment, I was sent a door with a loose latch handle from a hole that was bored too big to keep it in place. I tried to make that one work but eventually had to do a search and recovery when it fell off in the wood chip pathway. It only took the wind to blow it out. Maybe I was sent a dud because I ordered during a lower price offer because either it was overlooked by QC, there is no QC department, or they outright knew and hoped for the best.2nd time, the fabrication was much better.Just a heads up- I ordered the cheapest one in an unfinished rust color.It arrives truly rusty and will continue to rust outdoors. I hope by adding an enamel top coat, it will extend the life.For the low price, I have lowered my expectations, knowing that I get what i pay for 90% of the time.

I broke a window to my vintage front door and I was quoted an arm an a leg. This kit and a piece of plywood was the perfect fit and solution. It was easy to install. It made the door look custom and elegant. The Price was great! The weight feels very secure.

Exactly what I wanted! Solidly made and gave my gates the right look! Time will tell how durable the latch is. Do yourself a favor and use your own screws/bolts. The included ones are not up to the task. Highly recommend!
