This crochet hook is easy to hold and slides through the yarn okay. But the handle is chunkier than most and the aluminum hook part is very short. In the pictures you are looking at three brands left to right, Woo craft, this one (middle) and Clover. These hooks are sizes 6mm - 7mm. You can see the difference.

These padded handle hooks are very nice to use. They are very comfortable for aging hands, keeping your fingers a bit warmer than metal hooks in the wintertime. My sister has a bit of arthritis and enjoys using them very much.

After buying another brand that was rough in the throat area, I am pleased to finally find a brand that is smooth and affordable. The only complaint I have is that the shaft is too short to handle chunky blanket yarn. It is fine for 2 loops, but not long enough to comfortably work with 3 loops. Overall, I would buy from this company again.

Hook size is perfect for making baby blankets. The grip is perfect for my arthritic hand so it works perfectly.

I use Clover Amour hooks exclusively, however I needed a smaller hook I didn't have. I took a chance on this hook. I'm not sorry ! These are just as good as Clover hooks, 1/3 of the price . The grip and hook head are lined up perfectly , hook head is deep enough to grab stitches , the hook glides like butter. I recommend these , ordering more sizes I don't have in Clover hooks .
