This is a nice set of hooks for a beginner like me, who just wants to have a range of options right off the bat. I'd read the reviews so I knew ahead of time that the 9mm and 10mm hooks are actually 8mm, but all these cheap aluminum sets have that problem. I can confirm that the rest of the hooks are reasonably accurate, but I obviously can't give 5 stars when two of them aren't usable. I will say only having to replace two of them is still way better than having to hunt down individual sizes (that may cost as much as this whole set). All in all I would recommend

I got this set as a brand new crocheter, and they've been great! Now, as a self-proclaimed intermediate crocheter, I still love them and use them all the time. Good quality, sturdy, great array of sizes and colors. Great value too for what you get.

This was a great selection of pretty solid crochet hooks. It was great for a beginner because it meant I could pick and choose a project to make without having to go buy more hooks!
