This dual monitor switch is a powerhouse for anyone juggling two PCs. It delivers true 4K@144Hz resolution and lets you share two monitors and four USB 3.0 devices with seamless switching. Setup is straightforward with labeled ports and a stable 12V power supply, and switching is quick using either the button or desktop controller. It supports both extended and mirrored modes, as long as your PCs have dual DP outputs. The USB 3.0 speeds are lightning fast, perfect for peripherals. Just remember it’s DP only, no HDMI. But if your system fits the specs, this switch is a total game changer.

This DisplayPort KVM Switch is exactly what I needed to streamline my dual-computer, dual-monitor workstation. I use both a Windows desktop and a Mac Mini, and this KVM switch handles both systems effortlessly—even at 4K 144Hz resolution on both monitors.Key highlights:• True dual monitor support: Extended desktop mode works perfectly across two 4K displays. No flickering, no lag, no drop in quality—everything just works.• High refresh rate without compromise: I run both monitors at 4K 144Hz, and the image is crisp and fluid. It’s rare to find a KVM switch that actually delivers on that spec, but this one does.• Easy switching: The included desktop controller is a great touch—one press and I can switch both monitors, keyboard, mouse, and USB peripherals from one machine to the other instantly.• USB 3.0 ports enhance functionality: I connected my webcam, external SSD, and keyboard/mouse combo with zero issues. Transfer speeds are fast, and everything is recognized immediately by both systems.• Solid build quality: The unit feels sturdy and well-made. All ports are snug and well-labeled, and the overall design is clean and compact.• Setup was straightforward. It took me just a few minutes to get everything hooked up. Worked right out of the box with no drivers or fuss.If you’re juggling two computers and want to share two high-resolution monitors and multiple USB devices, this KVM switch is an excellent solution. It’s reliable, fast, and makes the workflow between systems feel completely seamless.

Partially worked for about 5 minutes after setting up. I set it up exactly as indicated in instructions using a PC and Macbook set up. Only the PC side was working. Macbook has screen flickering and did not detect keyboard, mouse, or audio. After trouble shooting the entire thing stopped working all together. Probably worth going with another product so you don't waste time.

First off im using this kvm for my raspberry pi 5 and my normal pc. Im hosting a Minecraft server for some buddies of mine and I have to say. When setting this thing up it was a hassle having to switch between in-game setting and setting for my rasbery pi, I pulled the trigger on this seeing how it was basically what I needed to use, and ever since I just needed to get the necessary cables for this item and while testing it out I have to say this pretty much is completely accurate to the descriptions, it allows me to have 144hz at all times and the switching between pcs takes 5 seconds at most when working on it, and I haven't encountered any sort of laggy moments when gaming, its definitely a recommendation on my end and I won't be switching this kvm any time soon

What I value most is its 144Hz refresh rate support. When playing fast-paced games, the moment I switch computers, the screen remains smooth as ever, with no lag or delay at all, which is crucial to the gaming experience. The 4K resolution is rich in detail and the colour representation is accurate. With the dual screen connected to two computers at the same time, I can watch a live game while operating on the other computer, which is very convenient.

The AILVLVNG 4K@144Hz DisplayPort KVM Switch promises seamless dual monitor control for multiple computers, but be prepared for some tinkering to achieve optimal results.Pros:True 4K@144Hz Potential: When everything is configured correctly, it can deliver smooth high resolution and refresh rates on compatible monitors.Dual Monitor Support: Easily switch between two computers using two monitors in extended or mirrored mode.USB Sharing: The built-in USB 3.0 ports are great for sharing peripherals like keyboards, mice, and webcams.Desktop Controller: The included controller makes switching computers easy.Cons:Finicky Setup: Getting everything to work as intended can be frustrating. You'll likely need to ensure both computers and monitors support true 4K@144Hz and use high-quality DisplayPort cables.Signal Confusion: The KVM can occasionally struggle with monitor recognition, requiring you to unplug and replug cables or manually switch.Limited Instructions: The included manual could be more comprehensive, leaving troubleshooting a bit of guesswork.OverallThe AILVLVNG KVM Switch has the potential to be a fantastic solution for users with a dual-monitor 4K@144Hz setup. However, success depends on your technical knowledge and patience. Here's who it's best for:Tech-Savvy Users: If you're comfortable with troubleshooting and have compatible equipment, this can be a good value.High-Refresh Rate Enthusiasts: Gamers or users who demand those silky smooth frame rates in dual-monitor setups will appreciate its capability. If you're looking for a true plug-and-play, no-hassle KVM experience, you might want to explore more user-friendly (though likely pricier) options.

The box has two hdmi inputs (PC1 and 2), two usb inputs (PC1 and 2) and these are then routed to a single HDMI output and 4 usb sockets. You switch freely between the two PC sources. An important thing about these devices (apart from the obvious 'does it work') is whether it loses image quality in the process or if there is image lag. As it is not mechanically switching, then the routing is all done via electronic circuits which can degrade image sharpness or introduce slight delays (so eg speech is not in sync with the image). Even a few milliseconds is noticeable. The good news is that (at least at 1080p) image quality is excellent and no lag detected. I have not tested at 4K.A minor quibble is that the 'remote' control switch (which you will need if the box had to be placed somewhere out of the way to reach the two sources) is a wired one. The remote won't get lost, but always needs to be teathered to the box. The remote cable is just over 3 feet long so should be suitable for most set ups. A previous device I had came with a wireless remote which was more convenient. While the unit comes with two USB cables (to connect to the two PCs), it does not come with any HDMI cables. So you will need three HDMI cables altogether - one for each PC to connect to the box and one to connect the box to the monitor. The 4 USB sockets switch between the two PCs so not only can you share a monitor between two computers, you can also share up to 4 USB devices like a mouse, keyboard, hard drive, sound module, etc.

I currently have two computers and two screens but as I am needing to get an additional computer soon, I wanted to find a way to link the computers to a single screen. This is that solution. This was easy to install straight out of the box. It comes with 4 USB3.1 cables, a remote sensor so you can put the switch out of the way and just position the sensor where the remote control can see it.The remote control is compact but functional. The power cable is quite short, could do with being a meter longer to give more options for positioning the unit conveniently. There is a small (2-3 seconds) delay when switching between the display port screens but the picture is clear when it resolves itself. USB connections don't seem to suffer any lag from the extra equipment either.Overall, this works well for my needs.

I’ve been having some problems with this monitor switcher. At first I thought it might be issues with the DisplayPort cables I was using, then possibly with the PC’s not recognising the switcher as an output or not having the relevant DP port switched on, but after spending a chunk of time trying to narrow down all the factors, I’m left concluding that the KVM I received just doesn’t seem to reliably work all the time. I find myself sometimes switching between screens only to be faced with a blank screen, rather than the output from the other PC that I should be seeing. There’s been a lot of unplugging and re-plugging, and a lot of rebooting Windows just-in-case, but I’ve yet to reach a satisfactory, fully working set-up. Other reviewers seem perfectly happy with it and it seems fine for them, so I have to assume there’s something wrong with the box I received. If it did work as advertised, I’d be reasonably happy with it. It has a small form factor, and a sensibly positioned power switch. The LED lights to show which input is active is nicely discreet and overall it does look rather smart. However personally I think the USB 3 ports would’ve looked better on the back of the device alongside the DP and USB-to-PC ports, as it would’ve allowed for a bit more tidy cable management overall. Though since the device has an infrared remote (which appears to work fine), and an external IR receiver on a cable, you can tuck the whole device away out of sight since it doesn’t need to be within reach for switching via the buttons. The front buttons are just a tiny bit ‘clicky’ and the remote control feels a tiny bit cheap and lightweight, with the generic ‘remote control’ labelling which is just a tad unhelpful, but overall the durability feels adequate.Unsurprisingly, an adequate number of USB-A-to-USB-A cables are included in the pack because they’re quite cheap, but the more expensive DisplayPort cables that you’ll need for this set-up are absent. Even just the inclusion of one DP cable would’ve been a nice touch, as it would’ve been safe to assume people had all-but-one of the DP cables they would need. But there’s no DP cable in the box, so you’ll need to make sure you do have a spare one (that works!).For physical build quality and design I was all set to give this four or five stars, but given the problems I’m still having when switching using it, I have to mark it down. Three stars is a compromise.

This is a DisplayPort KVM switch. It arrived boxed, including multiple USB3 cables, a power adapter, remote control and an external RC sensor. The build quality of this is very nice. It has a high end feel to it, not at all cheap. It is made from metal. The PSU however does feel cheap, and I wouldn't trust it to last for too long if you intend on this being in use 24/7.It has ports for four different devices. You connect the DP cable and a USB cable to one of the channels, and your computer. Then you connect the master out display to the monitor. There are 4 additional USB ports on the front, which act as a hub but are only active on the selected computer. There is a simple remote control (requires 2 AAA batteries, not included) which coupled with the external IR receiver, means you can have the switch box out of sight but still be able to use the remote. The best use for this for myself is using it with a home server. I can just use one monitor, mouse and keyboard when I want to do something on the server, then I can switch back to the regular pc without any messing around with cables. Also it's useful with a laptop for a larger or second display, although you will most likely need a HDMI to DP converter. It's good it included the USB3 cables, however it did not include any DisplayPort cables, which I feel is an oversight. There should be at least one included for between the switch and the monitor. It's a good, high quality, and useful device with multiple purposes. However some corners were cut with the lack of a DisplayPort cable and the very cheap PSU. Bear these in mind when purchasing as you might need to make additional purchases.
