I've only had this switch for a couple weeks now but so far it has worked like a charm. Switching is very smooth and uneventful. I'm running Windows 11 on both computers so that might help with how smoothly everything works. The keyboard and mouse are connected via USB so when switching between computers the devices do disconnect from the "dormant" computer and then reconnect when switched back to it. That's just how USB devices work but it shouldn't cause any issues. Both my keyboard and mouse are hard-wired to the switch - I do not use a Bluetooth mouse or keyboard with the switch.While I was specifically looking for a switch that can handle three monitors (and this defintely can) I did remove one star from the rating due to the fact that connecting a third monitor must be dne via a DisplayPort port. I know that this distinction was clearly stated in the description, and I don't mind this configuration because my third monitor has a DisplayPort port, I nevertheless think that DisplayPort is a bit outdated. I would have preferred to have a third HDMI port available for the third monitor. This switch will also work if you only want to switch betwen two computers using only two monitors. If you can utilize DisplayPort for your third monitor, by all means I do recommend this switch.

Ich habe den 8K@60Hz Displayport HDMI KVM Switch gekauft, um zwei Computer mit zwei Monitoren zu steuern. Ich arbeite viel mit verschiedenen Systemen und brauchte eine Möglichkeit, diese effizient zu bedienen, ohne ständig die Kabel umzustecken. Der KVM-Switch hat das Problem perfekt gelöst! Die Installation war unkompliziert und der Switch funktioniert einwandfrei mit meiner Tastatur, Maus und den beiden Monitoren. Ich kann problemlos zwischen den Computern wechseln, ohne den Arbeitsplatz umzubauen, und die Bildqualität bei 4K@144Hz ist hervorragend!Die Möglichkeit, zwischen dem erweiterten und kopierten Modus zu wechseln, hat mir sehr geholfen, da ich oft mehrere Anwendungen gleichzeitig nutze. Die schnelle USB 3.0-Verbindung für meine Geräte wie Drucker und Scanner ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt. Besonders praktisch finde ich den kabelgebundenen Controller, mit dem ich den Switch bequem steuern kann.Ein paar kleine Nachteile gibt es allerdings: Der KVM Switch benötigt für die optimale Nutzung ziemlich spezifische Kabel, und nicht jeder Laptop hat die nötigen HDMI- oder DP-Anschlüsse, sodass ich einen Adapter verwenden musste, was für manche Nutzer etwas umständlich sein könnte. Außerdem gab es anfangs ein paar kleinere Probleme, als ich versuchte, beide Monitore gleichzeitig in den erweiterten Modus zu schalten – es dauerte eine Weile, bis alles richtig erkannt wurde.Alles in allem ein tolles Gerät für alle, die eine einfache Lösung für ein Dual-Monitor-Setup mit mehreren Computern suchen

Alles soweit in Ordnung, nur bei der Bildübertragung geht nur Gleich zu Gleich, d. h. Displayport zu Displayport oder HDMI zu HDMI, aber nicht Displayport zu HDMI, zumindest erkannte mein Samsung Bildschirm das Signal nicht.

I got this for my husband for Christmas and he loved it! I’m glad there was a display port for his monitor so that he did not need to switch to HDMI. This is just what he needed for switching between his desktop and laptop setup.

Overall a good unit that works. The connections are arranged into two opposite ends of the box, one being the HDMI output (1) and two HDMI inputs (from 2 devices). Two USB-3 connections to 2 devices. The other end has a remote switch cable to switch between the 2 devices and shared inputs (4 USB ports) for the keyboard, mouse, webcam, etc. I could switch back and forth between the 2 devices without losing video connectivity, keyboard, and mouse. Laptop (as one of my devices) Windows 11 gave me an option to use the main screen as an extended desktop or duplicate desktop when my laptop was connected to this switch. The remote switching button has a nice backlit feature that shows which device out two was currently active. The only downside or what could be better was that the USB connection to the 2 devices was a USB type A plug on both ends. This format cable can be hard to find locally. So if you need a longer cable to connect to a device, best bet is to just order it online (5ft cables were supplied in the box). I tested it with a laptop and a desktop. I also tested it with a laptop and my handheld gaming device (steam deck) and this KVM worked perfectly.

Der Switch bietet die Möglichkeit zwei Computer (mit jeweils zwei Bildschirmen) an zwei Bildschirme anzuschließen und umzuschalten.Das funktioniert hier sehr gut und gerade die Möglichkeit mit dem beiliegenden Button das ganze "nach vorne zu holen" finde ich gut.Die Verarbeitung ist gut und das Gehäuse aus Metall.Schade fand ich tatsächlich, dass hier keine Monitor-Kabel beiliegen. Diese benötigt man also noch zusätzlich. Lediglich zwei USB zu USB-Kabel liegen bei. Diese hat man auch nicht einfach so zu Hause. Hiermit werden die Angeschlossenen USB-Geräte übertragen.Man kann hier Maus und Tastatur anschließen und dann benötigt man nur noch ein Set für beide Computer, was ich sehr gut finde. Sicher kann man auch noch ein Gamepad oder sowas anschließen. Von USB-Sticks, Externe Festplatten oder sowas wie das Streamdeck würde ich aber abraten, denn beim Umschalten ist es für den Computer so, als würden die Geräte alle einfach abgesteckt werden. Das würde vermutlich zu Datenverlust oder Fehlverhalten der Geräte führen.Trotzdem sind so ein paar Dinge, die ich anmerken möchte, die sich aber nicht auf die Wertung auswirkt, da sie das Gerät ja nicht schlechter machen.1. KompaktheitDas Gerät ist relativ klein. Auf der Rückseite werden die ganzen Monitorkabel angeschlossen. Diese sind auch sehr dicht beieinander. Es gibt durchaus Dicke Stecker, die hier Probleme verursachen könnten. Ich hatte aber keine.Wenn hier 6 Kabel + USB-Kabel angeschlossen sind (die vielleicht auch noch etwas dicker sind) liegt die Box garantiert nicht mehr so ruhig auf dem Tisch.Dazu kommen vorne die Kabel für angeschlossene Peripherie (Maus und Tastatur zum Beispiel). Das macht die Stellfläche sehr groß. Ich hätte lieber alle Anschlüsse hinten gehabt, denn so ist die Box doch sehr überladen.Der Einschalter ist vorne. Hier empfehle ich die Stromversorgung mit einer Schaltersteckdose, die man leichter ausschalten kann (vielleicht zusammen mit Lautsprecher, Monitor usw).2. DisplayportHier werden jeweils ein Displayport und ein HDMI Eingang benötigt. Es ist allerdings auch möglich zum Beispiel den einen Rechner mit Displayport und HDMI zu fahren und den zweiten nur mit einen von beiden, wenn man dort keine zwei Bildschirme benötigt. Das ist super, denn das kann nicht jede Box.Allerdings hat mein Zweitrechner (ein Mini-PC) keinen Displayport-Ausgang. Also dachte ich, ich nehme einfach nur ein Adapterkabel, doch so funktioniert es nicht. Bei Displayport auf HDMI ist das kein Problem. Von HDMI auf Displayport benötigt man aber ein spezielles ca. 15-20 Euro teures Kabel mit seperatem USB-Anschluss für die Stromversorgung. Das Signal muß hier wohl aufwändig umgewandelt werden. Danach funktioniert es auch wunderbar. Ich wusste das allerdings nicht und habe wieder was neues gelernt.3. UmschalterDer Umschalter war für mich eine Kaufentscheidung, denn den finde ich wirklich sehr Praktisch.So kann man die ganze Box irgendwo hinter dem Monitor "verstecken" und den Umschalter unter dem Monitor platzieren.Leider ist der Umschalter nur aus Kunststoff und dadurch sehr leicht. Zwar ist das Kabel sehr dünn, aber doch nicht so flexibel. Wäre schön gewesen, wenn hier eine schwerere Basis angebaut wäre, so dass er etwas besser liegt.Dafür wird mit einer LED angezeigt, welcher PC gerade eingeschaltet ist. Zumindestens sind hier zwei farblich unterschiedliche LEDs verbaut. Welcher von beiden PCs das sind, erkennt man aber nicht. Wenn man "gut ist", kann man das ganze so anschließen, dass z.B. der rechte PC rechts leuchtet und der linke halt links - sofern die Rechner so angeordnet sind. Allerdings dürfte es auch ohne LED nicht schwer sein zu wissen, auf welchem Rechner man gerade ist :)Natürlich kann man auch direkt an der Box umschalten und den Externen Umschalter gar nicht benutzen.4. UmschaltvorgangDer Umschaltvorgang ist nicht so "Smooth" wie man sich das vielleicht wünscht. Es ist so, dass dem einen Rechner erstmal alles genommen wird und den anderen aufgesteckt wird. Zwar bekomme ich dabei keinerlei Fehlermeldungen und es kann auch sein, dass hier vielleicht ein "Fake-Signal" gesendet wird, damit der Rechner nicht völlig durcheinandergerät, aber beim Umschalten merke ich z.B. dass der Rechner zunächst den HDMI-Monitor (kleiner Zweitmonitor) ansteuert und sich dann erst der große mit dem Displayport "zurückmeldet" und der Desktop dann wieder rüber wandert.Das ganze dauert seine zwei, drei Sekunden.Trotzdem finde ich das ganze Bequemer als die beiden Rechner an einen Monitor anzuschließen und dann mit zwei Sets Maus und Tastatur herumzufummeln.Wer diese Peripherie zudem noch als Kabelloses Modell hat, spart einiges an störenden Kabeln, was ich sehr empfehle.Schade finde ich hier nur, dass keine Monitor-Kabel beiliegen, denn die dürften in jedem Fall fehlen, wenn man eine solche Box benutzt (die Monitorkabel sollten ja eh schon an den PCs sein). Ich hatte schon günstigere Switch-Boxen, wo diese Kabel beilagen, teilweise sogar für einen Rechner gleich mit. Diese mußten dann aber auch zwangsläufig mit der entsprechenden Anzahl Monitoren betrieben werden, was das ganze wieder einschränkte.Da ich sowieso genug Kabel herumliegen habe, fand ich es jetzt nicht so schlimm.

This is my 1st career KVM gimmick and it's a frickin game changer, yo! Absolutely LOVE it! Some of the other reviews report a delay. I'm not sure that they expected. Sometimes yes it takes like 2-3 seconds to switch. Not the end of the world, IMHO. LOVE the remote switch to quickly and easily toggle, which I do dozens of times a day for my work lappy an personal desktop to share a monitor and peripherals. Game changer, I said!

I have my desk setup to use my TV as a second monitor for my laptop whic was great until i started bringing home my work computer.this kvm switch allowed me to hook my mouse and keyboard and TV to one "dock" and be able to use it no matter which laptop i am using.i like the colored led to distinguish between comp1 and comp 2.i also like that it has a "Remote" so i can tuck the device away behind my desk and still be able to easily switch inputs. i dont regularly hotswap my laptops (only use 1 at a time) but i did test it and was able to switch and use the peripherals just fine ( even works with my usb webcam)this was a simple device that is perfect for my needs

This little KVM performed a lot better than I expected. It worked flawlessly with the two PCs I tested with, and it has no issues whatsoever with the HDMI to DVI cable I was using on an older monitor on my workbench.The casing is metal, which is nice, and I like that PC1 and PC2 have different color LEDs dennoting which is currently selected. The USB cables (A to A) are well made and thick, and the remote, albeit small, is handy, but I almost knocked a star off the rating as it connects microUSB (the Amazon page pics clearly show a USB-C connector but mine was micro), which no modern device should be using instead of USB-C. There is also no USB-C input port on the front of the casing either, so to connect a phone to the device (picture or file transfers) will require a USB-A adapter.To anyone not familiar with the way USB works on a plug-and-play environment, when the signal disappears, the device (a computer in this case) will release the resources the USB device was using and unmount it from the OS (thus the USB disconnect sound you hear when changing to the other PC). The other PC will then detect a new signal coming in and poll that connection to get its ID and mount it as a new device, to which there is a slight pause. Unfortunately, there is no way to get around this as it is the way the architechture operates, and this is not the fault of the device, but the PC itself. If there is a flash drive plugged into an input port on the front of the KVM, it too will be unmounted from the old and mounted on the new computer, so keep this in mind as any open files (of file transfers) will close and run a small chance of corrupting on the device being written to. Again, this is not the KVM's fault, but the way USB on a PC is designed to behave.Although I am unable to test the 8K resolution (because I am not rich), I am confident that given this KVM's performance so far, it would meet the listed specifications. One final note, this KVM is powered by the source PC's USB bus, so it is not going to be a high powered connection, which it is not intended to be anyway. In transferring a large amount of data to a USB3 flash drive (KVM was USB3 connected to the PC), the data transfer speed was decent but not as fast as its usual average is, and this is likely because the PC was adjusting for the power load, which was expected. If you need a KVM, I would definitely reccommend this one.
