You know, maybe monitors getting too smart when they become computers in their own right.. lol. I love that I can share stuff between my apple computer and my Samsung Smart monitor which has among its apps my games streaming off o Luna, and a web browser which seems to be able handle most of my computing needs. When I need more of a power house, I slap the switch and the peripherals switch over to my Mac mini instantly and I just keep going!! I love it?

The DXCHIP USB-C Switcher (branded as KCEVE on the device) is a fantastic 10Gbps switch priced at $39.99. It’s an excellent solution for seamlessly sharing two USB-C and two USB-A devices between two computers. The package includes two USB-C cables and a wired remote with LED indicators to show whether you’re connected to PC1 or PC2. On the front, the switch has two USB-C ports and two USB-A ports for devices, while the back features two USB-C ports for connecting to PCs and a micro USB port for the remote.I've been testing multiple KVM and USB-C switches recently, and this one stands out as the best choice, especially for those prioritizing USB-C connectivity and high-speed performance. As I transition most of my setup to USB-C, having a device that supports 10Gbps data transfer is a huge plus. This switch is perfect for my workflow, allowing me to share three MIDI controllers between my iPad and my computer.Setup was straightforward. I mounted the remote under my desk for easy access, and switching between devices is as simple as pressing the button. The transition is quick, with my MIDI controllers taking less than five seconds to reconnect, whether I’m using my iPad or computer. One feature I truly appreciate is that this switch doesn’t require external power. Despite my initial concern about whether it would provide enough power for my devices, it works flawlessly without an additional cable or plug. It’s a clean, efficient, and reliable solution that eliminates unnecessary clutter. This switch checks all the boxes for functionality, build quality, and performance, making it an ideal choice for anyone needing a USB-C switch for multiple devices. Five stars.

This is a decent little USB switcher. The aluminum housing gives it a nice premium feel: it has a little bit of weight to it. Functionally, it does exactly what it is designed to do. I have used it between my work laptop and gaming PC for KB/M and webcam/microphone, and I also tested with my Series X to verify keyboard and mouse could be used with it for games that support it. If you aren't into the idea of all the extra cables that come with installing a full blown KVM, and would rather just cycle through inputs on your monitor and use this to route USB devices, this is a great choice. The remote switch is handy too: I can just use some velcro tap or zip ties to mount the main unit under the desk and out of the way and route the toggle wherever I want it to be. The cable for the remote is around 5 or 6 feet, which is actually very very good (most of these I have tried have such a short cable for the switch that it is almost useless). They also include a little bit of double sided adhesive tape for mounting the toggle switch which is nice. This is for sure one of the better USB switchers I have tried.

Feels like great quality right out of the box. The all aluminum casing feels like the quality of my Mac pro. My plan to is to use it to be able to switch between my desktop and laptop using my better desktop mouse at the flip of the mouse. It is cool because I have windows desktop and mac pro laptop. Both have a USB C port, I like that it uses a modern input of USB C for the two inputs from the computers. And I like that it has four ports, 2 usb C and 2 usb A to plug in other devices such as keyboards. It is awesome because you can also have a flash drive you can share between two computers with a flick of a switch, giving you better abilities for stuff. I prefer this to typing on my laptop keyboard, instead of my gaming keyboard. I like this product very much and like that it is plug and play out of the box. Not designed for video output, which is fine because I was only looking to share keyboard and usb drive between two computers and nothing more. Also the remote control button make it convenient to hide the cabling mess behind the desk somewhere and have an easy to reach and access button, perhaps right by the keyboard for easy switching. A+++

I'm using this USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub to share a larger desktop hub between two PCs. I like the remote switch with LED indication of which PC is active, so I can keep the hub under the desk with the PCs. Hub worked fine on Linux and ran at 680 MB/s on an SSD. I like that this doesn't need a separate power supply, since USB-C from PCs can handle it. Included cables have no 10 Gbps marking so don't mix them up with normal cables. You'll need USB-A-to-C adapters for PCs with USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports.USB voltage regulation is OK, dropping to 4.7V with 2A load. Uses boost converter to avoid drop from PC to hub from affecting devices; I fed it 4.6V to PC input and it output 5.0V to devices (USB-C ports don't support PD power, just 5V). Handles 2.35A maximum on a USB port before shutting power off. Ripple is low, 0.85%, with 30 mV p-p (2 mV AC RMS) at 37 kHz. Included USB-C cables drop to 4.7V with 3A load, pretty standard.Looking inside, it uses a Genesys chipset. USB-A and USB-C ports are through-the-hole connectors, and metal case holds ends of ports in place, so they should be durable over time.My only real issue was the connectors all being overly tight. USB-A and USB-C are all tight and hard to plug cables into and remove them; USB-A is really difficult, and I tried with several different USB-A devices that all plug in smoothly on my PCs and hubs. If these were smoother it would be a decent value at the current $40 price.

The box arrived and it is odd that there's no branding - just some pictures of the device. However, I found the set up to be straight forward, and the size doesn't take up much space. I like that I can switch my monitors between computers without unplugging cables.

I've used KVMs at home for over 30 years now and I love them. This is my first triple monitor KVM and I'm ecstatic. I wouldn't use a KVM for gaming. It's going to add some amount of delay and it's going to be difficult to measure. But for office use the delay typing and using a mouse on this KVM is fine.Pros- Excellent value for a triple monitor KVM. A triple monitor KVM use to be rare and expensive, but this one does the job painlessly.- Uses commonly available cables.- Good clear picture.Cons- Only comes with USB cables to connect the computers to the switch for keyboard, mouse and other usb devices. You will need to supply 6 displayport cables (2 from each PC, 2 to each monitor) and 3 HDMI cables (1 from each PC and 1 to the monitor). I had some spares lying around but if you don't, you'll need to factor this into the cost.- Selection switch at the top means you can't put anything on top of the KVM.- Both computers need to support the number of monitors you want to display.- Cable managment is onerous if you don't really need 3 monitors on 2 computers.- Switching requires each device disconnect and reconnect to the other computer which is noisy in Windows.

I got this to use with my work laptop and home PC. I was getting sick of using the laptop keyboard and having two mice sitting on my desk, then having to reshuffle everything in the evening when I wanted to game on my home PC.I'd never used a KVM switch before so didn't really know what to expect (being honest, when I initially saw the picture I thought it was two separate boxes - not pictures of the same box from different sides). So with that level of tech savvyness established - how did I go connecting up my setup - incredibly easily actually. I plugged both monitors into the KVM, grabbed some extra cables to hook the KVM up to my laptop and PC and then plugged my keyboard and mouse... and it then just works. Probably helps that my use case is rather simple but yeah, you click the button (I prefer to use the remote), there's a second or two while it switches and then you're up and running.I have a 4k monitor that has a lower rate but is great for work, and my second screen is a high end 2k gaming monitor. I was concerned that I'd lose resolution on the 4k monitor or speed from the 2k, but neither of those things happened.Definitely a setup I can recommend for anyone working from home that also has a home PC.

I’ve been using this dual monitor KVM switch to manage my work and personal laptops with a single keyboard, mouse, and dual monitor setup. The setup process was pretty straightforward, and all the ports and inputs are labelled, so you know exactly where to plug each device in. The USB 3.0 ports on the front are super handy for plugging in extra peripherals like a webcam or external storage without having to mess around at the back of the computers. The image quality is crisp, and it’s handled 4K at 144Hz without a hiccup. I haven’t tested it in 8K, but knowing it can support that future-proofs it a bit, which is nice. Switching between devices is quick and easy with the wired remote—it’s responsive and makes swapping between systems feel pretty seamless. A minor downside is that it takes a second or two for the display to pop back on when you switch, but that's fairly common with KVMs.
