I have a double gate that is only a couple of months old, yet one side has started to sag and drag already. Even though these braces are on the pricey side, I decided to give them a shot, and so far I am pleased. They were pretty straightforward to install and get adjusted. The one sagging gate regained the lost clearance. The other side was ok, but now that it has one of these braces, it should stay in good shape with this reinforcement. Quality of the braces seem top notch, and as long as they hold up in Colorado weather over the long-term, I'd say the price is fair.

I built a new gate a few months ago and originally used a wood diagonal brace, thinking that the gate would be sturdy enough to not sag. I installed the latch at the very top of the opening to allow for minor sag, thinking it would maybe settle somewhere in the middle. But, after just these few months, the latch was hitting the bottom of the catch, so I decided to buy this.Installation was simple and straightforward and took me about 20 minutes total. I removed the old wood brace, blocked the bottom of the gate to raise it to where I wanted it, and then installed this new brace. Once installed, I adjusted the brace slightly to raise the gate just a bit more so the latch is perfectly centered in the opening. I assume it won't be able to sag any more at this point, since this is a steel brace, but will check on it over time. For reference, our gate is 36" wide by 6' tall and we used the 7' telescopic gate brace.I feel that this was a good investment and should produce a gate that will operate smoothly for years to come. I would highly recommend this product!

This device instantly corrected my sagging gate door. It's easy to install too - just two lag bolts on each end and two self-tapping bolts to secure the telescoping pieces in the middle. I didn't even need to turn the adjustment bolt because I had the gate propped up on supports when I fastened the telescoping pieces, so it was already the correct length. When I removed the supports, the gate didn't sag at all.

A very simple to install product that solved our sagging front gate problem. Looks good and has not required adjustment. Much easier to work with than tensioned wire. Highly recommend.

I really like this gate brace. Robust and easy to install, this product solved my sagging gate problem. A couple things here:1. My first suggestion to both the manufacturer and the installer would be to advise/use/include stainless steel or other corrosion resistant screws for all hardware that penetrates the wood on the gate. (It cost only about $5 to buy at local lumber yard). It’s a well known fact that after a few months standards zinc plated hardware will corrode badly when engaged in cedar or treated wood. I substituted stainless steel lag screws for all that penetrated the wood on the gate. For all the other associated hardware, that doesn’t penetrate the wood, the zinc plated stuff that comes with it is fine.2. As far as value for the money, if one is handy and so inclined, you could probably build this unit for under $20. But there is value in having it show up in a “kit” form and just installing it, with no chasing down parts and designing/building the thing.3. Shipping was a bit slow. I’m guessing because it’s a bit bulky and perhaps a bit out of the ordinary to package for shipping, but allowing enough time, (about a week), is one answer here if one knows about it ahead of time.4. This company offers a couple versions of this unit. I got the one that is adjustable. That’s what I’d suggest for most situations, as it is nice to have that option in case the actual installation turns out to be different than originally thought. (For example if one decides to attach to a different gate component than originally thought).5. Installation would be easier and faster if the bolt holes where the 2 square tubes telescope together were pre-drilled. There could be a series of holes ~1” apart in the inner tube that would line up with the holes in the outer tube. Doing so would still allow for ample final adjustment on the threaded end.All in all a good product that does exactly what the manufacturer states. I’d purchase it again.
