I bought the 5-1/2'W Single Folding Security Gate, 6-1/2'H to use in a cased opening. (I first had to measure the opening and decide what gate size would properly fit in the opening. You don't want the gate to be too long or too short. ) Using my measurements, I selected the 5 1/2 W by 6 1/2 tall gate and it fit perfectly.Tools: You will need a hammer drill, 1/2 concrete bit and either a socket wrench or use a drill with socket attachment to screw in the lag bolts in the top mount and locking side mounts. A tape measure and a level will come in very handy for determining where the lag bolts holes need to be located.I had to put the project on hold long enough to buy a 1/2 inch concrete drill bit. When it arrived it was easy to drill the floor mount. The opening had 2"x4" backing behind the cased opening mill work making easy and secure to accept the lag bolts.Here is where an extra set of hands come in handy. The gates bottom mounting pin must be placed in the 1/2 inch hole that was drilled in the concrete. I tried this by myself and it took a lot effort to keep the gate upright and guide the bottom pin into the hole. Once the bottom pin is in place the "L" top angle mount must now be mounted. Once again, I did it alone and it was not easy. Took probably 10 tries to get it mounted straight and properly. Don't be stubborn like I was, get some help.Once I got the gate mounted the receiving mounts were easy. The gate slides easily and with some coaxing and straightening lines up and will lock. (You have to supply your own padlock.)

i installed this as extra security on a french door in a wood frame house with a wood sub floor. the door installed easy. i bought lag bolts from home depot to mount it. it comes with cement anchors. it rolls easy and has a latch that will hold it to one side and out of the way when not in use.
