We have an iron gate and have used these few of these screws to mount some signage. The self drilling screws tapped in to the iron easily and securely. I'm not sure how well they'll work for high tension but for our use case they worked perfectly! For the price and the quality, you can't beat this at the big box stores, it even includes the bit!Great quality product for the price, highly recommended!

This 1lb box of #10 x 1" self-drilling screws comes with a 5/16" socket bit adapter which is nice. What I like:1. Black Finish – Looks sleek and blends well with projects.2. Corrosion & Rust Resistant – Made from 410 stainless steel with black zinc plating.3. Self-Drilling Tip – No pre-drilling needed, perfect for quick and easy installation. Great for Outdoor Projects – Perfect for metal, wood, gutter guards (been using them for our gaurds), fences, and more.If you need strong, weather-resistant screws, these are an excellent choice!

These are great.I don't fasten to metal very often but wanted a sort of generic set of fasteners if the need arose. I went with these 1-inch screws, as they seemed middle of the road for me. And as it turns out, I needed to mount a bunch of various garage hooks to metal shelves which are 14 gauge and 16 gauge steel. These didn't cut into the steel like it was butter, but they bit in without drifting around at all, and went through within 60 seconds using a moderately powered drill. In comparison, a slightly smaller drill bit cut through in about 15 seconds. The included bit with hex shank was a nice touch.

These BNUOK Self drilling screws are well made, and will sustain heavy driving torque for a screw of thissize. They are particularly useful for securing light gage sheet metal (alum. steel) to a wooden base. (pic 2).No pilot hole is needed. A driving spud is included, containing a magnet to hold the screw while placing to be driven. A good value. ~ The Duffian

The head of the screw does not have a slot for a screwdriver for those who might want the option. It’s only a hex head design and the nut driver for them is included. I used them outdoors to fasten plastic corrugated panels to pressure treated wood. They drilled in fast and held good if being careful, but it’s fairly easy to drive them in a little too much and have them spin. I prefer to have a dedicated wood screw with larger threads for wood. I like the flanged head on them, and they’re sealing out the water from leaking into the screw hole. I like them, just need to be careful when using them with wood.
