These screws are of such poor quality.The heads twisted off when I tried to drive them into metal. They're supposed to be self tapping. I bought another brand of screws and they worked fine.

Tried to use on 1/8" steel and kept snapping. Was using a dewalt impact driver.

These are only self-tapping in the thinnest of sheet metal. For anything thicker than 20 gauge a pilot hole is required. Other than that, they work well.

I love how these screws grab and penetrate the surfaces especially wood. These are great screws! And I think this big box that I got will last me forever?
