I am impressed with these screws, they are durable, and drive in easily once a pilot hole is drilled. I am not thrilled that it is a star bit, they always strip or get lost, but the one it came with seems like it will last a little while as long as we don't lose it!

Self tapping with a pilot hole for any trailer decking. Beveled heads counter sink in flush with the wood decking and the self tapping tip threads right in to the predrilled pilot hole making a secure fit.

Screws work well.

Where have these been all my life! Drill a hole anywhere near size and these screws go for it. I tried three sizes down from 1/4" and in 14ga metal they went in effortlessly. Torq head holds very well with no slippage.

The taper and tip are not really as pronounced as a typical trailer floor deck screw. That being said I was skeptical about the ability of the screw to cut a thread. I ran one in as a trial and it cut okay. I will update when I have done more.Update. Be aware these are self tapping not self drilling. You need a pilot hole. I ran a single screw in and out 5 holes through 3/16" steel and it cut well. Made of good quality steel. My pilot holes were different sizes. If your hole is big enough for it to start it will cut threads.

These BNUOK trailer deck screws are a good value (based on quantity, quality and price point). I have used them to repair the flooring in a connex (shipping) storage container and repair the decking on a 24ft gooseneck used to haul tractors. The gooseneck decking gets serious stress from the weight of those loads while traveling across some very rough dirt roads. These deck screws have yet to break under those pressures. Installing these deck screws using the torx bit is easy. Functionally, as soon as the Type F self-tapping threads start to bite into the frame, the screws pull the deck boards down tight against the frame and remain secure.Overall: I think this package is a good value for repairs on existing equipment. The performance thus far has been very good with no failures or broken screws.

I drill the holes first just like it says and they screwed right in. None broke yet. I wish the head was a little larger because it does not pull the board down enough after predrilling, but these are much stronger than anything else I have ever used.
