They are a bit bulky for 22-16 gage work, if you have more than 5 inches of play on wire ends they will work great. The continuity tester can be helpful as well, however it does need to have bare skin touching the handle for it to work. It's an OK tool.

The metal stock on this is high quality, and precisely cut and fit. The crimping and splitting tool is a nice addition.The voltage detector, a concept that already doesn't work well, works even less well in this case. Even keeping your finger on the sensing pad (lol) doesn't ensure anything. I wouldn't even say it works half the time. Also, I don't see how it could possibly tell the difference between live and neutral like it claims. The tester uses button batteries which is stupid too. Perhaps the most stupid part is the screw that goes on the battery door though, you can't get the screwdriver straight in because of the handle, you have to go off the side which fouls up the screw head. Luckily I didn't need to put it back in because the door snaps in place fine without it.

These works wonderfull for stripping and cutting wires. I'm not real big on the wire splitter or winder but they seem to be efficient for the job. The voltage tester works good for making sure a circuit isn't live. I think these are a really nice addition to my tool bag.
