It works fine. I didn’t find it as “magical” as the video led me to believe, but it does the job. I have been only stripping the ends of old wires, so, to be fair, I haven’t utilized it to its full potential.

An excellent tool, especially for aluminum wire and not nicking the conductor itself.

I have only used it once and works like it should, saved me lots of time, stripped the wires just like I needed them too! Great Product….

These strippers make easy work of most jobs I have used them for. The only time there has been any issues was when the wire had a plastic coating on it and they didn't want to grip to strip the wire as well.

I've seen people using similar strippers in DIY videos, but I always thought they were too complex for me to use. So, I continued to strip wire the old-fashion way (hard way) using a pocket knife and a lot of thumb nail muscle. Finally, I decided to try these "automatic" strippers because I needed to repair a pile of damaged extension cords. No instructions needed to get started. The tool will self-adjust for different size wire. Simply insert your wire into the left slot. Slide it over until the end butts up against the plastic Stop. Then gently squeeze the handles. The tool will neatly remove the insulation, leaving a length of exposed bare wire that is perfect for connectors that require insertion. If you want a longer length of bare wire, just flip the plastic stop-arm up, and insert wire as far as you prefer. A longer bare wire might make it easier to "twist" your connections together. I wish I had bought this tool years ago. The low price makes the WGGE WG-014 a great gift for anyone who owns a tool box. Also, it would be handy for the folks who keep a screwdriver and pliers in a kitchen drawer. If you are skilled enough to operate a flashlight, you can use this tool.

I needed to make T-Splices in automotive wiring and didn't want to cut my fingers stripping insulation; this tool strips just the right amount for a T-splice in the time it takes to unfold the blade of a penknife. I gave away the el-cheapo wire stripper from H.D. It cuts crimps strips and is adjustable for length of wire to be stripped. Does everything but solder it for you. Constructed such that I don't think I'll ever have to buy another one ever.

Purchased this to complete some wiring projects in my home.I have been using the small standard Wire Trimmers that have the multiple size "holes" for many years.I found the old style wire trimmers "hit and miss" since you have to guess what size hole to use for the correct wire. Most of the time it's fine but when stripping thin multi-strand wire - it's a complete pain. Many times I cut the wire when stripping the coating. If it's very this multi-strand - it's almost impossible. These new Self-Adjusting wire strippers work perfectly.I have stripped Copper Romex and multi-strand wire effortlessly.I would recommend this product.

my first impression of the tool was good. i like the look and feel of it. i had some issues with my original that the seller very quickly fixed by sending me a replacement. i think my original was a factory defect. because the new one is much better/sturdier. its still not the best one ive had but for the price, i would recommend it. it has a little trouble with silicone cased wires no matter how i adjust the tool. it does great with regular plastic casings. i have gotten a pair of crimper pliers to use instead of the crimper on these. and plan to only use this tool for stripping./cutting.
