Great design, I never knew they had such a thing. This works so well and easy to use. Will hold and have snake secure while in motion. I feel comfortable using if I need to, great tool to have on hand somewhat versatile also very sturdy. Nice quality!

Nothing longer legenth a plus with larger snakes I have already used it twice to remove snakes around the house.

I loved everything about it except that the locking mechanism and handle are plastic and the lock wouldn't hold, even without a snake in it. The one I'm trying to relocate is over 6' long so I can't have the lock not fail on me!

It arrived in a long pieced-together corrugated cardboard box, preassembled. The pole has three extension positions, and one criticism is that the inner pole position is not keyed relative to the outer pole, so the extension holes can be misaligned relative to the locking catch if you twist the poles relative to each other. However you are probably not typically going to adjusting the pole length in a panic. My collective concerns that prevent me from assigning a 5 star rating are further below.The inner and outer poles are made of fairly heavy duty aluminum. The hinged tong end is made of rubber coated steel.The grabbing handle is of heavy-duty plastic, and includes a simple latch to keep the grabber closed for storage. There is a supporting handle that slides on the primary outer tube to allow for two-handed operation.Criticisms:1) as noted above, the ability for the inner and poles to be misaligned during extension or contraction is not ideal2) The hand grip required to close the grabber at the handle is significant - at the end of the grip the fixed and movable parts are 5-1/2 inches apart, making this hand grip difficult for a small hand to use.3) There is no locking ratchet on the closure mechanism. Once you trap a snake in the grabber and close down on it with the handle grip, you have to rely on your grip strength to keep it closed for as long as you are handling the snake. There is no ratchet (such as you find on a typical bladed plastic pipe cutter) to keep the tongs closed at your tightest position.So (while I am not a snake handler, and have no snake "handy" to test this on), this appears to be functional, and yet not ideal. It is not inexpensive, so for the price, and given the above limitations, the best I can give this is 4 stars.

This is a very nice and durable snake grabber tool. It is as described and pictured. It is super sturdy and easy to assemble. I haven't caught any snakes yet but I am eager for when I get the chance to use this tool to capture it. The grip is good and the opening/closing clamp mechanism seems to operate nicely. I would recommend for any home, office, commercial, personal or professional use. This is a great gardening/garage tool to have and can be used for other project ideas.
