This set of snake tongs are very well made and very durable. The flip side to that is, they are not very light. The extendable feature is very nice.

Every year in late June or early July REALLY big black snakes try to get in our barn during their breeding season. Not just show up, they are absolutely determined to get in. It is a weathertight barn and we don't want them around. I understand the good role that black snakes play and try and return them to the woods but they will have none of it. They become aggressive and I end up having to dispose of them to keep them out.This will fix the problem perfectly! It is adjustable from long to very long. It is very lightweight and strong. The jaws appear to be a very good quality metal and I squeezed my finger in them as hard as possible and while they held tight it did not hurt my finger. The spring handle was comfortable to use and the spring made it perfect to grab and let go. The flashlight that came with it is good but I think I would rather hold it in my hand to be able to move it around more than attach it to the pole. I have used other snake grabbers on rattlesnake hunts in Texas but this is far superior in design and quality. It is perfect for us and will serve to deter the lovesick snakes around our house.
