The little hook is kind of flimsy, so I don't use it. The tongs are built pretty well and work fine.

a lot Sturdier than expected. Though I do appreciate the additional gloves and telescopic handler. The Telescopic handler should be about a foot lengthier. Overall I am pleased with purchase

The hook is a little over 2' long and like an am/fm antenna that collapses ( I think it's a joke), the gloves won't stop a bite from a bug, much less a snake. OK moving on to the tool that got us here. I haven't tried it on a live snake venomous or not. But, just using it to pick stuff up and fiddling with it. I'm pretty sure we have quality here. I wish the company would get rid of the gloves and radio antenna, drop the price down a couple bucks and we have a winner snake picker. I'm happy even at that price I paid. My next snake encounter should be ok, I always carry my snake shot in .357 mag as a back up. Either way :)
