I was not sure these were going to fit my lenses, but they did! Love these and they really help on sunny day photography.

These are soooooo horrible words cannot describe. Made of cheap plumbing plastics, nothing at all as shown on the website. Made of cheap materials, chipped and scratched edge which I will take a pic here for you.Bendy, non protective plastic for material, is not what you put on your $$$ lenses. This is absolutely junky. You know, buy and see for yourself and get a refund just to get a kick out of how low quality these are. Why would anyone sell this garbage?Absolutely do not buy. If you are looking for anything serious, absolutely do not buy. It's a shame this seller carries this stuff!

I ordered 55 & 58 mm UV filters and 55 & 58 mm lens hoods for my Nikon lenses. The UV filters seem fine and work well. The 55 mm lens hood is "Vivitar" brand and works with the 55 mm UV filter. The 58 mm lens hood is "Focus" brand and does not work with the 58 mm "Vivitar" UV filter. I pointed this out in the comment section of my return but was sent another 58 mm "Focus" lens hood.

Super amateur photographer here, not going to give some long spiel about things I don't know about. That said, these fit perfectly on the kit lenses that came with my camera, and they completely get rid of the glare from the sun when shooting in direct sunlight, like at the beach. They also work perfectly in tandem with UV filters, and both can be attached at the same time. I found it somewhat amusing that these came with a microfiber cloth when they don't have any glass in them to clean, whereas the UV filters I ordered didn't come with a cloth and do have glass to clean. Great, cheap addons for the camera bag, would recommend.

These are good quality plastic hoods that fit easily on the filter threads of the Nikon 18-55 and 70-300 kit lenses that often come with the D3400, D5500, etc. They are easy to install: Simply thread the hood onto the lens's filter threads, set the position, and then tighten with the lockring. And they do a pretty good job of blocking lateral glare and lens flare. The problem is that the hood is too large for the shortest focal lengths of the 18-55 lens, and shows up as a vignette-effect shadow in wide-angle shots (see attached photo). If this does not bother you, then don't worry. If it does, then this is probably not the hood you want to use.
