The only problem I have with this lens shade is that it cannot be attached if at the same time you are using a filter. My camera is a EOS M 50 ll. There may be other filters out there where this is not a problem. But be carefull.

Overall, this hood is perfectly fine. The quality is what you'd expect from a stock plastic hood, and the fit is fine. Except...it interferes with any filter you install, so you have to very lightly thread on your filter, then push the snuggly fitting hood over it, then rotate 90 degree. I got my filter really tight doing this once, so I learned to use the above technique. I don't change filters ever and just run it all the time for outdoors protection, so having to remove the hood to change filters doesn't matter to me. Though, it does prevent me from rotating the hood for storage easily.

You can reverse it so it doesn't take up any space when stored. It fits right on the lens in my camera case in this configuration, and then I just pop it off, reverse it, and pop it back on when I use my camera. I like the extra protection and, frankly, the look of it. May help on very sunny days too.
