Bought this item due to the number of snakes I’ve seen in the yard, and the snake skin I saw in my boat. Turned out the snake skin was an old rag, so I now know I’m old and my eyesight is failing me, but hey, at least I have this nifty telescopic snake grabber to pick stuff up once my back starts to fail me.

I live on the water in the South Carolina lowcountry, so snakes aren't a surprise to find in the warmer months. These tongs are heavy duty, very well made, and have a strong grip. I have no concerns of any size snake getting away when using them. They've handled the relocation of a medium sized copperhead already without any issue and most importantly, no risk to me. Great product!

I never thought I would own snake catcher tongs. But over the past few years, many of my neighbors have reported seeing snakes in their yard. I have young children, so I don't want to take a chance that they might get bitten someday by a snake that might wander into our yard. So I ordered these tongs to give me a safe way to remove a snake if I ever find one. The length is adjustable from 55 to 89 inches. And the quality of the materials used are outstanding, which is why this product sells for over $100. But this is absolutely one tool that you want to have on hand for whenever the need arises to use it. I feel more comfortable knowing that I am better prepared to deal with the possibility of a snake coming near my home.
