That is stretchy as the other knit elastic that I bought in the past. I have to use 2 inches more for the dolls waist just to be able to pull it up.

This is definitely a good product for your money. It’s good quality and awesome for sewing projects. It’s not too stiff and not too loose. I use this to replace the thin elastic in my sleep bonnets and the stretch is just right.

Most stores that sell this type of product sell it by the yard, which be very expensive with just a few yards. According to my in-house seamstress, the quality of this elastic is just as good as what you would find in one of the specialty stores at a fraction of the price. So, if you need more than just a few yards, I don't think you can go wrong with purchasing this elastic band.
