The silicone gripper makes this elastic extra useful for waistbands, shoulder straps, and headpieces as well. The silicone grip helps hold up the garment better. And the quality of the elastic is good as well. It’s very stretchy and well-woven. It looks and feels very durable.

I bought this elastic to use with my wigs to get a better grip. Works like a charm and gives my wigs a better grip. It's a strong elastic and I feel more secure in wearing my wigs without them moving or sliding about.

This is a silicone material with dots which help keep items from slipping. I thought this would work for my husband's underlayment (long johns) but 2" may be too wide. I still have not tried to fix the pants yet. It has a nice stretch and is useful for other craft work to avoid slippage. Five yards is a generous amount of material and will last me quite a while.

The elastic has good give but still snaps back into shape. Whatever you sew this to, it's not moving as it won't slide at all. The dots have a really good grip. It's easy to use this tape, just measure sew it on and you're good to go.The $13.99 price is on the higher end of the competition, but this does work well for many projects.

I got these for my extremely talented seamstress friend, as she was saying she's gotten burnt with elastics before. She loves this one! Just the right width, and it really is non-slip. She also would tell me the truth (in case you were wondering), so I trust this review! I couldn't sew myself out of a paper bag...

2 Inch Elastic Silicone Gripper Tape for Clothing by Mandala CraftsThis wide tape is great for waistbands! It is gripper tape because it is has these soft dots about a half inch wide that will grab onto your fabric. Grabbing the fabric is very helpful so it doesn’t roll inside their casing. The color is neutral but it will be used inside fabric and probably wouldn’t be noticeable anyway.

This elastic does its job. It's nice and grippy on hard surfaces (tile and hardwood floors). It's a bit less grippy on skin, but that's probably good because if it were 100% grippy, it'd probably pinch the skin as you move.I got it to add grip to dog socks for our incredibly wobbly senior puppy. I'm able to sew it all around the paw area of existing dog socks with inadequate grippy dots so that the socks remain grippy even when the socks twist around. I also use it for the strap that wraps around her knees to keep the socks up (with the grippy dots facing in to grip her fur). The grippy dots help keep the sock on better than the original elastic.The edges do fray a bit, so it takes a bit more work to contain the fraying with Fray-Check or hemming, hence 1 star off.It doesn't stretch a TON, so it takes a bit more tape to cover the same length than regular elastics, but the roll is big enough for many projects and the price is reasonable enough.

~Slip sliding away NOT NOW~Not for just Clothing!I use it for many things like to keep my toaster from slipping, or sliding, the canisters, even spices & other items. I attach to the item then to the counter, or they cabinets & they do not slip, slide or fall.I love the elastic silicone gripper tape, I know alot of people use it for clothing but I use it on my tablet & put on my night table so I can read at night. I also use it for my laptop & the laptop table as it keeps them in place & does not slip slide or fall away to the floor.
