The 'shaft' feels like a really light golf club with good grip. The hook is easy to 'install' (screw on). There's of course a learning curve if you've never used this type of tool before but it works as designed. It's a good length & strength to apply a little pressure/tension. Works great - good product - I recommend.

I am happy to have something to increase the distance between myself and the things that try and bite or hurt me. This is a pretty standard snake wrangling pole design, nice to have on hand if needed. maybe if it works well with the snakes, I will try it on the humans ;)
